What’s it all about?
The Interchange Compliance & Programme Analyst role is a key part of the Payment Economics team for Visa in Europe. The Payment Economics team is responsible for interchange and inter-client fee business development, operational management and compliance across Europe. The role requires collaboration with various business areas with specific focus on correct application of interchange and the management of domestic interchange programmes.
What we expect of you, day to day.
As the Interchange Compliance & Programme Data Analyst, you will assume responsibility for, although not limited to, the following activities:
Manage all stages of interchange fees (and other inter-client fees) compliance and re-balance processes from governance to submission
Liaise with all stakeholders to manage the end-to-end resolution of compliance cases in accordance with agreed policies and procedures
Design and undertake processes to verify the accuracy of inter-client fees re-balances
Support the development and system implementation of inter-client fee changes through testing and re-balances
Manage the production and provision of interchange MI to internal and external stakeholders
Perform quality assurance on data and other deliverables
Manage interchange fee programmes including clients/merchants registration, billing, regular programme compliance review and reporting
Review and enhance existing interchange fee programme procedures
What we’re after…
Educated to degree level with qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent experience
Relevant experience in the payments industry
Ability to extract large volumes of multifaceted data using SQL/HQL
Experience of the Hadoop eco-system, including Hive and Impala
Demonstrable ability in different programming languages such as Python and R
Experience of analytic and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI and MicroStrategy
Expert knowledge of MS Excel
Hands on experience on processing large data sets
Highly detailed oriented, ensuring highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
Ability to present ideas and analysis in a compelling manner to all stakeholders
Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
