What’s it all about?
We are seeking a senior leader to develop compelling solutions and propositions for a large bank within the UK
This will be done via the development of use cases that consider firstly, the bank priorities and then the changing consumer needs whilst considering the changes in the market landscape
This will enable the bank to differentiation their customer experiences and ultimately differentiation for Visa versus other schemes and third parties
This engagement and new way of working will be in a consultative approach therefore the candidates ability to probe and listen to the banks priorities is critical for these roles. Equally their ability to connect across the bank in terms of stakeholders, predominately within the digital/transformation organisation/s across each of these bank and leverage a new set of stakeholder engagement that Visa has not traditionally been able to engage in the past
The candidate will be required to have a deep understanding of Visa capabilities across the four defined platforms – VisaNet, Visa Developer, Visa Token Service and Visa Identity and Authentication
Whilst this is a product proposition role, there is a requirement to sell and influence internal and external stakeholders around the requirement needs; a true consultative selling approach is vital here
Whilst there will be a defined Customer Support Service (CSS) team and a Product Delivery team, oversight of the Go-To Market Plan for the specific bank is important to note for the role
What we expect of you, day to day.
Works hand in hand with the dedicated Customer Engagement team, in gaining far deeper understanding of the bank priorities and needs specifically of the digital/transformation business
Has the need to develop far deeper engagement with the bank across their UX, digital and transformation teams
Liaises with core and digital product owners within the regional Visa Hub team to influence product development and timing based on the banks needs and requirements
Would facilitate the generation of insights to inform development opportunities and build commercially viable value propositions for Visa and its stakeholders; would understand the key segments, size and importance of these segments at a market level to facilitate a good commercial engagement around the importance of certain segments for the UK specifically
Off this deep knowledge and understanding of the customer needs and priorities; build out customer journeys and map to Visa capabilities which would enable these journeys
Work closely with the Visa Content Specialist resource to help facilitate these journeys and equally the Visa Solution Architect to gain far deeper understanding of each individual bank infrastructure, this is critical to facilitate a more meaningful discussion around deployment of the Visa capabilities
Once these propositions and journeys are defined and developed; build out work streams with the support of the project managers to facilitate internal and external focus on the deliverables and outcomes needed. These GTM plans would track and manage deliverables and ensure challenges are quickly escalated on both sides – Visa and the bank
Partner with the dedicated client engagement team to help support the commercial wrapper and the way in which Visa can support product Value In Kind or new ways of packaging product pricing to enable deployment of new capabilities for the bank
What we’re after…
The individuals should be self-starters, with the ability to think and act fairly independently at times, whilst always aligning and balancing the customer priorities to the Visa product strategy. This is at times a difficult balance to maintain
Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
The candidates are seasoned experts and have a significant knowledge and experience of the UK payment market, regulation and market landscape
Strong product proposition development and go to market experience; having done this previously for a reasonable amount of time
Sound knowledge and experience of new technology, fintech and challenger banks
Strong commercial acumen
Strong communication and interpersonal skills/ability to influence with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, specifically in working in a ‘matrixed’ environment
