Job Description


The Content Curation and Management position is responsible for the entirety of Visa University’s digital content assets. You will ensure that our learning production capabilities are enhanced and magnified through an effective content curation and management strategy. You are an expert in discovering and accessing digital resources and identifying and curating relevant content. You will enable the discoverability and access to our internal and externally curated content.  You will consult to team members and stakeholders on the availability and relevance of our content.  



  • Proactively discover and curate content from multiple sources, including informal learning sessions, to address our business areas

  • Identifies and works with relevant content sources internally such as Visa intranet and Visa Knowledgebase and externally such as vendors and academia to acquire and curate content

  • Classify, catalog, store and archive all content (curated or developed) to facilitate easy future retrieval

  • Consult to and collaborate with learning producers and learning product managers to address content gaps; consult to and collaborate with market learning consultants around the globe looking to leverage and contextualize our digital content into their local markets.

  • Develop, execute and continuously improve all processes related to content discovery, curation, contextualization, cataloging, storage and retrieval, and content quality.

  • Partner with our learning technology team to identify and deploy a digital content management platform that will make our content strategy more effective and efficient.

  • Ensure that the discovery, access and delivery of content meets user needs.

  • Analyze digital analytics and user research to refine taxonomies as needed.

  • Develop metadata strategies to better organize and integrate our content across channels for effective and efficient access and retrieval

  • In collaboration with our design strategist, provide information architecture guidance grounded in best practices, analytics and user research.

  • Educate users on features and functionalities of our content management system.

  • Create a version control process for all existing Visa University learning content.



  • 10 -15+ years in knowledge management, information architecture or content management and curation.

  • Master’s degree in a related field of study such as library science, information science or information management.

  • Excellent content discovery and acquisition skills

  • Proven expertise in taxonomy development and metadata strategies and standards

  • Expert knowledge of standards, procedures and practices used for information and content lifecycle management

  • Extensive experience with digital asset and learning content management processes, systems and platforms.

  • Demonstrates user centricity in designing and developing content management strategies

  • Well organized and highly structured, with attention to detail.

  • Ability and willingness to work with colleagues in collaborative, Agile and team environments, as well as independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated organizational planning, problem-solving, and influencing skills



  • Knowledge of the payments industry/domain.
