Visa is seeking highly energetic, passionate, technology enthusiasts for Data As A Service(DAAS) organization under  Data Platform. The
candidate will work on designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance. The ideal candidate will bring a commitment to collaborative
problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality .This role will participate in various design discussions, create solutions for batch oriented processing and ensure successful delivery of business capabilities.

Responsibilities: 

• Big Data application development using Java and Hadoop ecosystem.
• Provide expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Work independently with minimal supervision

• B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science or related field from IITs/NITs.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in java technologies and applications development.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Hadoop, Hive and Pig.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in creating processes for transactional data.
• Proven hands-on Shell scripting experience.
• Strong knowledge of database concepts & hands on experience on application which interacts with Database.
• Exposure to any ETL tool will be a plus.
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience.
• Experience on Multi-threaded programming in Java.
• Good understanding Object oriented design patterns.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Knack for writing clean, readable Java code.
• Strong algorithms and data structures.
• Previous experience with financial services/payments processing experience a big plus.
• Result oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
