The Digital and Developer Platform Data Engineering team provides end to end data movement, reporting and analytics solutions for all Digital products. The team works closely with business partners, compliance and other engineering teams to deliver data needed for critical applications and analytical reports.
We're currently seeking a Sr. data enginner to join the team.  This position's key responsibility is to
• Develop data pipeline using java, Hive on Hadoop for compliance needs.
• Articulate and communicate technology or data issues to various audience.
• Develop reports, dashboards, SQL queries, or metadata layers using python, shell scripts on Hadoop/MySQL/Oracle and display them using Tableau and MicroStrategy.
• Partner with Business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements to shape reports for business insights.
• Troubleshoot, monitor and Work with business product groups, customer support, release engineering to resolve complex issues. 

• Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Java and SQL.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience and proficient with Unix.
• Experience in software development in data warehousing reporting environment.

• Experience in using any encryption/decryption services or framework is highly desirable.
• Experience in one of these databases: Hadoop, MySQL or Oracle as well as tools like Tableau and MicroStrategy is a big plus
• Experience with HIVE, Spark, Kafka, or ETL tools a big plus.

• BS or MS in MIS, CS, or related field.
