Job Description

The Manager, Merchant Solutions Deployment will form part of a team of merchant acquiring domain experts who have the primary objective of supporting geographic markets with the deployment and execution of merchant/ acquirer infrastructure solutions. This team is also the regional co-ordination point and single interface into the global merchant product teams. This individual will work closely with geographic MS&A leads and their clients (large merchants, acquirers and non- FI’s) on client business development strategies and managing client implementation & integration of Visa’s merchant/ acquirer solutions. This individual must be able to manage executive-level and junior relationships while optimizing and executing on the overall AP MSS strategy.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead project manager to drive the deployment of merchant and acquirer solutions across the Asia Pacific region as per the defined AP merchant/acquirer product deployment strategy.
  • Partner with a broad range of stakeholders across time zones , geographies, business teams to initiate , build and deploy merchant and acquirer solutions such as :
  • Launching rapid merchant onboarding solutions with key acquiring clients
  • Accelerating the roll out of next generation acquiring solutions (Contactless, tap to phone, mPOS, remote payments)
  • Deployment of payment on delivery solutions in high cash on delivery markets.
  • Collaborate with geographic business teams on strategy development including identifying and prioritizing strategic gaps, evaluating proof of concepts/commercial/partner options and collaborating on prioritizing implementations.
  • Participate in and help steer global and regional initiatives as appropriate and ensure that they are rolled out effectively to the AP markets
  • Participate and support an engagement program with strategic AP intermediaries (POS vendors, Payment Gateways, Merchant Aggregators and PSP’s ) with the goal of developing these relationships into enablers of Visa’s merchant product deployment strategy
  • Ensure the merchant/acquirer perspective is represented both internally and externally, ensuring their needs are appropriately solved for.
  • Represent MSS in AP client engagements and industry events. Evangelize the value and differentiation of Visa’s merchant solutions both internally and externally

Provide subject matter expertise and business development support to IS&P, Core Product, Strategy and Risk functional areas

Qualifications

  • Results focused, must have team deep relationship management experience in a solution-based e-commerce environment in Asia Pacific
  • You will have extensive payments industry knowledge and be contemporary with the latest issues in Digital payments, technology and local regulations

Essentials

  • 5-7+ years of ecommerce / digital payments experience in the Asia Pacific market
  • Graduate caliber
  • Outstanding communication skills - English (oral and written). Fluency in regional language preferable
  • Multinational experience and willingness to travel within the region
  • Experienced in using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, to ensure new business activities are visible to a broad range of stakeholders

Industry Experience

  • Deep experience in the deployment of acquirer/merchant solutions with proven expertise in completion of large complex payments projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.
  • Ability to think big and launch “industry leading” ideas. Experience combining products or business assets in non-traditional ways to create new opportunities
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong technical competencies and ability to utilize systems to extract, capture and interpret data
  • Experienced business manager who can lead and influence teams cross-functionally to success
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to understand the depths of the AP marketplace dynamics including the regulatory environment, technological and consumer behavioral shifts tying this back to impact to Visa
  • Advanced degree is strongly preferred
