Job Description

The EVS Product Management team is part of Visa Issuer Processing & Enablement (IP&E) team and are the product architects of Enhanced Visa Services (EVS) Platform, EVS product offerings and drivers of product line success and adoption by the issuers or partners. They drive the vision & strategy of EVS service offerings, its delivery, execution and business operations across the organization.

The EVS Product Manager is an individual contributor that will be a key member of the EVS team, responsible for developing and influencing Visa and Issuer Processing value-added services strategy for issuers or issuer processors.

This role will require close collaboration with existing Issuer Processing Product teams, Visa Product Office teams, regional teams, and work closely with technology, customer support and operational organizations in delivering requirements, tracking execution and delivering the defined value added services from inception to operations.

This is a matrixed, cross functional role so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical, to coordinate the build, launch and support of new and existing services.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of EVS Product Management and will be based at Visa's offices in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for EVS value-added services, with deep knowledge of integration details and specifications.

  • Responsible in identifying and prioritize value-added services solutions to ideate, develop and drive product commercialization to issuers, processing partners and defining the integration to issuers or processing partners based on specific region/country needs.

  • Deliver EVS value added services through API (JSON/RESTFUL) and ISO (8385) including development of technical specifications of the respective service integration channels

  • Deliver Product Requirements, functional requirements, Agile user stories with prioritized features/backlogs and Acceptance Criteria that will drive product development, testing, certification and deployment

  • Active involvement in Sprint planning, user stories articulation, product requirements clarification, backlog refinements, test scripts/acceptance criteria and release planning.

  • Matrix manage product development activities including development, implementation, customer service, training, documentation, and QA/certification groups to ensure a high quality of service.

  • Drive business issue resolution and provide functional clarifications to development team.

  • Develop and maintain documentation associated with assigned product lines including Service Descriptions, Product Profiles, RFP materials, and Implementation/Training Guides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. MBA a plus.
  • Requires 7+ years experience in product management or product development in the payments industry, including prior experience developing and implementing product plans/requirements.

  • Working experience from one or more of the following: payment network, issuer processor, merchant processor, issuer, acquirer or mobile payments company

  • Strong experience in API-based and ISO-based product solution delivery

  • Direct product management experience leading ideation, design, development and implementation for new products.

  • Past experience as a Product owner leading complex projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments 

  • Proven record of designing and delivering solutions in partnership with sales, business development, technology and support teams for successful end to end product launch

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines

  • Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and to juggle multiple initiatives at once

  • Solid interpersonal skills with a high level of self-motivation and initiative

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross functional (e.g. product, business development, sales, strategy, marketing) and cross-regional teams in a complex, highly matrixed organization to determine business and customer needs and to build solutions to meet those needs
