The Digital and Developer team is looking for talented test engineers for Bangalore office to drive the evolution of digital payment solutions and to build Visa's enterprise digital enablement practice.
At DDP, we are thriving for highest quality with zero customer impact philosophy. As a Test Engineer, you will responsible for complete quality. You are expected identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems.
You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.
We are looking for someone with serious testing skills, strong interests in all things related to backend, and a passion for delivering high quality, rock-solid code.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Lead/collaborate on improving developer and engineering team's test coverage, release velocity and production health.
Work as a part of scrum team executing the products requirements working architect, product management and other teams in an agile manner.
Work closely with development teams in instrumenting their workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage and quality
Hands-on ability to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure
Write moderately complex code/scripts to test systems, implementing test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or other related fields with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
Knowledge of MVC application testing methodology.
Experience of programming in Java,
Understanding of web services standards and related technologies (HTTP, Spring, XML, JSON, REST)
Experience of Selenium automation and framework development using Java or related programming language.
Solid understanding of database technologies and SQL.
Knowledge of NoSQL Databases is a plus.
Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms.
Proven problem-solving skills and an ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities and challenge
Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, source control (GIT, SVN etc)
Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle etc).
Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives.
Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment.
