Job Description

This role is in the Visa Business Solutions team, focused on management of the technology and applications used by customers in region, including API’s and software used for card information reporting, expense management, online card maintenance and emerging acquiring solutions.

The role exists to ensure that the CEMEA region product set is supported by the best available platforms and support sub-regions with effective go-to-market. The role is required to have a deep understanding of the current product platforms for both small business, large market and public sector, ensure change to the platforms are executed within a prescribed time frame with clients and overall global or regional budget, and that Issuer impacts are understood, communicated and managed. Understanding of how issuers and their customers implement products is a requirement, as is supporting issuers with advice and timely feedback during these projects, which requires an understanding of the commonly used card issuing platforms, transaction processing and overall four-party model across the region. The role is also an integral part of other product development projects in flight, and includes input into potential partnerships and opportunities which will also include opportunities created by Fintechs. Working closely with Fraedom and other investments/acquisitions of Visa is also a requirement, to ensure that this opportunity is managed and maximized. The role requires working collaboratively with the global Commercial Platform, product, Partnership teams as well as regional product, Sales Team, other cross functional stakeholders and other regions, ensuring global product consistency as well as a strong regional product portfolio.

The Head of Solutions Enablement (Platforms) will be required to communicate the current and future platform capabilities, set face to face with issuers and in lead/support events and forums as required.

The role requires analytical, collaborative and technical product skills. In addition to senior level platform management experience, this role requires deep commercial payments and travel industry experience and an entrepreneurial approach to identifying ways to improve product performance through technology platforms.

This role is expected to be mobile and available for face to face meetings with Issuers across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a key set of strategic initiatives designed to grow Visa’s regional market share in the large, middle-market business segment
  • Work with cross-functional internal teams in multiple geographies in C.E.M.E.A and Global LMM product teams to expand or deploy necessary functionality, address barriers and secure funding needed to advance key initiatives
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of the large segment and customer's needs, leveraging Visa solutions across our platforms
  • Continuously review regional market landscape, identifying developing partnership opportunities that will position Visa as the market leader
  • The focus is on expanding Core payment flows, identifying and capturing new payment flows (key industry verticals, non-card solutions etc.)
  • Develop and execute customized partner account strategies, objectives and plans to increase revenue and market share for select accounts across CEMEA region
  • Lead the account and relationship management plan for these accounts, ensuring that each party’s business objectives are met as appropriate
  • Work with internal teams (GCM’s and VBS in-country leads/teams) to ensure partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan
  • Provide input into product roadmaps with an emphasis on enhancements that can drive partner and therefore Visa performance
  • Establish Market and Client Presence via Industry events, execution of strategic priorities to accelerate payment volumes growth and expansion into countries

Qualifications

Senior Leader with extensive experience in platform managed in the small business and commercial card environment. This experience may be with a processor, Issuer, or management reporting provider.

  • Deep knowledge of products in the CEMEA region or other regions including small business, Travel & Entertainment solutions, procurement solutions, virtual programs, Central Travel/Lodge payment solutions and Reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record as a lead subject matter expert who can leverage this expertise.
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical resources
  • Strong results-oriented leader; analytic and fact-based consultative discipline
  • Add value to customers by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions
  • Knowledge/insights into regional regulatory requirements and ability to evaluate the impact on current product/platforms.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
  • Ability to work with leading industry partners and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcome
  • Able to work independently and in a matrix environment
  • MBA or equivalent work experience required
