Overview

The US Client Marketing team part of the overall North America Marketing organization is transforming how we partner with clients to drive engagement, through a proactive and results driven marketing approach and strategy.  Our focus is to enable client value and engagement, maximize Visa investment assets and partners and drive brand awareness and engagement.  This is an exciting time and opportunity to join a very dynamic, strategic and results driven team.  You will have the chance to be a part of a transformation that will make Visa the preferred marketing partner in the payments industry. 

Position Summary

The Manager will be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies and partnership initiatives to grow Visa’s business with Visa’s regional issuer clients, through the activation of Visa marketing platforms/initiatives and strategic use of sponsorship assets. This manager is responsible for building partnership relationships with the cross-functional team, including Sales, Product, Marketing and agencies to deliver best-in-class marketing plans that drive business goals for both Visa and its clients.    

This Manager must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment. He/she will be results-oriented, flexible, and have a “can do”, positive attitude.  Additionally, he/she must have a strong track record in working collaboratively and independently with internal team members and external clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to engage with Visa’s regional issuer clients through marketing opportunities such as sponsorship marketing, advisory services, social/digital marketing, etc

  • Manage marketing projects end-to-end (e.g., develop project plan, brief with agencies and agency management, creative development, review process with legal) with limited supervisory support

  • Ensure that the overall planned marketing activities are aligned with the specific client’s objectives and identify areas of opportunities to deliver more effective programs.

  • Support the key products/marketing initiatives, e.g., NFL/Olympics promotion, PayPal marketing, Uber marketing Contactless marketing, etc

  • Manage relationships with internal (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Products, Consulting, Analytics, Legal, etc) and external stakeholders (Clients, Creative/Media/Sweepstakes Admin agencies)

  • Work with the Analytics, Insights teams and/or the agencies to track and measure the KPIs of the campaigns

  • Manage the budget/finance process as part of the marketing campaign execution  

  • Support ad hoc priority projects  

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BA required, MBA preferred

  • You have prior experience in financial services, payment or consulting preferred

  • You are an experienced, results-oriented marketer with 8+ years of experiences with a proven track record in delivering marketing campaigns for clients

  • You are a collaborative and “hands-on” team player who builds strong relationships internally and externally, and works well under pressure, thriving under tight deadlines

  • You are a strong strategic thinker who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive and appropriate urgency

  • You are an outcome driven with solid knowledge in tracking and measuring marketing campaign performance

  • Excellent executive presence with ability to represent Visa in front of senior internal and external stakeholders

  • Project management skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
