Create effective application and infrastructure performance models for Visa’s mission critical applications that runs across large scale shared platform to meet peak processing demand during Cyber Monday/Black Friday/holidays
Apply creative thinking/approach to solve state-of-the-art hardware and software performance issues with close collaboration with Product, Infrastructure Engineering and vendors.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience keeping in mind on security, performance, reliability and scalability
Triage degraded application performance, optimize system performance by evaluating cpu/memory/disk/network/operating systems/application software stack for maximum use of computer resources
Evaluate and implement next generation application performance management tool solutions to monitor millions of transactions
Expert knowledge in Unix/Windows hardware, software, and applications environments (Java, .Net and Open Source) solid understanding of their associated capacity and performance indicators
Experience with one or more Application Performance Management software such as Opnet Riverbed APM, Dynatrace or AppDynamics.
Extensive experience on investigating, optimizing and solving complex application/infrastructure performance issues using different tools
Experience with one or more enterprise class virtualization technologies such as Vmware ESX, Hyper-V
Working knowledge on Openshift kubernetes or Docker Swarm orchestrated container applications performance
Experience with Prometheus or Grafana or Open Tracing for performance analysis
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking topology and experience with network packet level analysis for troubleshooting
This position requires a dynamic, hard-working, quick learning and visionary individual, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Candidates will possess strong leadership, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills and have experience working in large enterprise operational environments
Advanced skills on one or more Application Performance Management Tools such as Riverbed/AppDynamics/Dynatrace
Experience in leading complex troubleshooting/tuning of Java/.Net application performance across enterprise environment
Experience with Advanced Spunk queries
Experience with any Network Application Performance Management tools such as Riverbed AppResponse Expert/Extrahop
Exposure to Cloud Native open source performance monitoring tools
Experience with capacity analysis using statistical techniques
Nice to have Skills:
Experience with Database Performance Analysis - Oracle/MySQL/SQL server/DB2/Hadoop/Cassandra
Experience with any capacity management tools such as BMC TrueSight
Experience working with APIs using one or more programming languages
