Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities
  • Engage in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirements
  • Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization
  • Reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate by driving the automation of applied threat intelligence and sensor enrichment

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cyber security and experience in these domains:  network security sensors: IDS, cloud security access broker, Cloud compliance tools ( Dome 9), Open DNS, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise of network security sensors: IDS, cloud security access broker, Cloud compliance tools ( Dome 9), Open DNS, etc.
  • Proficiency with Linux (or similar) operating systems
  • In depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with  SSL, SSH, HTPS, etc.
  • Knowledge of Restful web services (client – server application)
  • Python scripting, Automation skills, Dev Ops skills, etc.
  • System admin - Red Hat Linux/Unix, Windows – Basic knowledge is mandatory
  • In depth exposure to AWS or Azure. Experience managing cloud compliance with security tools
  • Experience with various methods of implementation of SSO and hands on implementation experience SSO with Azure
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cyber security and experience in domains mentioned
  • SANS or CCSP or  other industry leading security certifications in network security preferred

  • Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements

  • This position does not require the incumbent to travel.

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
