Job Description

The Vice President, NA Business Operations plays a crucial role within NA, partnering with the SVP, Head of NA Operations and the President, North America to support running the business on a day-to-day basis across all facets of the market. 

This is a critical role within the North America business.  The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, ideally with a background in consulting/strategy coupled with operational experience.  This person will be recognized as a leader by peers and executive management, will think strategically and holistically about the business, be capable of identifying and resolving issues, and excel at quickly grasping and clearly communicating complex topics. This person will effectively align organizational areas to NA goals and build consensus at senior levels of the organization.  This person will lead, develop and recruit a high-performing team that manages Business Operations activities in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Support running the NA market on a day-to-day basis across the business, ensuring faster and more efficient business operations across the One North America team

  • Support development and management of the NA Plan and strategic objectives, working closely with the SVP NA Operations, NA CFO, Head of NA Strategy

  • Identify and execute special projects that address key strategic issues facing the business or our clients in North America

  • Lead production of presentations, speeches, talking points, analyses, etc. for various internal and external events for President, North America

  • Ensure seamless execution of NA strategy and priorities

  • Partner with key NA functions to develop business performance metrics and narratives to inform internal and external executive decision-making

  • Provide business analytics as appropriate

  • Build, develop and retain high performing team members in support of NA Business Operations

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, background in management consulting/strategy preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of payments industry

  • Excellent problem solving skills, adept at multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities

  • Highly organized

  • Flexible, intellectually curious, creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty

  • Ability to lead and influence decisions of others, including North America Management team and other partners

  • Strong management skills with experience building a high performing team, including recruiting and retaining talent, and developing team members

  • Proven leader, with experience leading and executing complex, cross-functional strategic projects

  • Strong interpersonal skills with presence and the ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior and executive management, clients, peers, and team members

  • Ability to work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior and executive management, while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization

  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
