Job Description

What’s it all about?

Responsible for actively managing the relationship with a Key Signature Client, to promote and secure use of Visa Europe products and services.

Responsible for driving sales and development across the business in our UK & Ireland market. By building deep partnerships with our clients, opening up access and offering creative solutions with a strong focus on developing the Credit and Debit segments.


What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Working with the Client Lead to manage the multi branded Credit & Debit portfolios for a Key Signature Account, Consumer Cards, ensuring a priority key client is provided with appropriate support from Visa
  • Own and develop the existing engagement model for the Consumer Cards business, deepening our relationship over multiple brands
  • Meet Visa assigned targets for profitable sales volume, strategic objectives and other priorities, as they emerge.
  • Work alongside clients, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building quality, deepen relationships
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of client accounts, suggesting ways to develop existing business, improve performance and grow volume.
  • Help identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the clients’ business objectives and priorities
  • Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as marketing, products, merchant & acquirers innovation, operations and consulting are appropriately involved and informed about client opportunities and issues, endeavouring to break down silos and work together as one team and be “One Visa”
  • Support in market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market, this could be at a Key Signature Client both UK and Global level
  • Support cross functional initiatives as required, and pull in SME’s from the Visa functions to support UK priorities
  • Work independently with guidance in the most complex situations, balancing demanding priorities but delivering Client centric outcomes for Key Signature Client
  • Communicate complex issues and influences others internally and externally to take a different viewpoint
  • Directly advising and influencing within the internal and external virtual client team


What we’re after…

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the payments business and/or financial services
  • Be commercially focused and pragmatic with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions, being able to handle objections and navigate successful outcomes
  • A resilient self-starter who is able to work on their own with guidance and work against set deadlines internally and externally with the Key Signature Client
  • Must be able to work across multi-matrix structure, gaining buy in and prioritisation for key projects
  • Effective levels of interactive communication internally and externally
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Visa Europe and its products and services
  • Ability to articulate, Visa’s capabilities across Innovation, Product, Marketing and holistically, being able to quickly identify what further SME resource is required to support the client
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Be a self-motivated employee who can work alone and in a team internally and externally with the extended client team
