The Visa Business Solutions global platform (VBS) unit has overall responsibility for all aspects of business strategy, development and management for commercial products, as well as platform development and commercial information management. VBS serves clients engaged in providing payment products to middle market and large corporate/multinational companies, governments and commercial supply chain/B2B segments. VBS is accountable for global interoperability of VBS products and services; developing new channel solutions and technology support; building alliances and solutions for new products, technologies, platforms and market segment penetration; and business unit analytics and reporting.
As Director, Visa Business Data Solutions Core Platform, you will be part of the Visa Business Data Solutions Platform Team, providing payment and value added services to businesses, corporations and governments.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the core data platform, integrating with new market segments, enhance platform capabilities, and work with existing issuers/partners on enhancements and additional capabilities, align-with and contribute to VBS Core Platform strategy, development of innovative solution and create superior business value of our core platform. This role also focus on interaction with cross-functional groups within Visa and our Issuers, partners and solution providers, collaborating with VBS product owners and our VBS Clients to list of few of the critical contacts.
As a product owner, partner with technology teams and external vendors to solution for business requirements and ensure on-time delivery to market/partners
Interact with senior management in communicating business cases and market trends.
Responsible for product management of Business Solutions’ products with focus on commercial data received/sent with Issuers and Partners.
Responsible for collecting, validating business requirements from partners’ in various sectors such as fleet, payables, car rental, healthcare etc.
Understands and maintains a deep understanding of the commercial data strategies, priorities, market needs and integrating them in product roadmap.
Work with issuers, third-party solution providers, and tech companies on integration with VBS data through file delivery.
Responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful business releases.
Provide core product documentation and guidance to other teams, which produce marketing, implementation, training, and support materials.
Work with marketing, sales, partnerships, implementation, and support teams for in their relationships to collaborate with financial institutions and corporate clients.
The candidate will interact with various levels of management across the organization as well as with external clients and will have close working relationship with our Visa Business Solutions Product teams.
- 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Product Owner
Proven experience in product management and should be well versed with agile processes
The role requires strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to processes/procedures.
Strong ability to multi-task, organize, manage and implement complex projects with large budgets, whether directly or through supervision of a designated Product Manager.
Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
Must have experience in presenting and communicating complex/detailed topics to clients.
Demonstrated expertise/power user in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) and experience with MS Office Access.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
Strong understanding of commercial card industry is a big plus.
Excellent business ethics is required, the successful candidate will have experience, and demonstrated success in the above listed core competencies.
Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.
Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
Experience in working with Issuers and clients in the financial industry with data system skills is preferred.
Develop strategy roadmap to drive the creation and execution of multiple new products and triage addition/changes to the roadmap, as needed
Enhancements to existing core Visa Business Data Solutions platform
Be fully responsible for commercial success of product development strategy and innovation launch
Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 15% of the time.
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
