Job Description
As a Payment Analyst in our team, you will be responsible for providing clients in-depth insight into their payment process. This will require you to apply your extensive payment knowledge on extremely large and complicated datasets in order to show where and how they can improve their business. You will often be working with clients with substantially different needs and levels of technical abilities and should be able to communicate to both effectively. Your experience and feedback will be key to building out the long-term roadmap feature-set as well as providing critical support in how we go to market.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification
10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive payment industry experience. Especially around authorization and settlement flows
Experience working with Financial Data Modeling
Demonstrated track record in presenting results in analytic findings
Understanding of DB Schemas
Data Science experience preferred
Familiarity with performing in-depth data analysis
Data preparation experience
Strong sense of ethics and responsibility regarding consumer data
Familiarity with macro programming in Excel
Proficiency in Tableau (both desktop and server) and Excel
Client facing consulting experience
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on taking complicated concepts and distilling them down into actionable and understandable tasks
Additional Information
Essential Functions
Working closely with Clients to increase authorization rates and the overall health of their business through the power of data and analytics.
Assist in building the product roadmap through client facing feedback
Mine through newly imported data to identify new analytics opportunities
Assist in the construction of ETL design work
Research and document new data sources and features for future incorporation into the data platform
Perform ad hoc analysis for the senior leaders of the Product Management team
Travel Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 25% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
