Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer, a highly motivated individual contributor based in Singapore with a deep passion for test engineering and test automation, will be part of the Global Partner Portal and Visa Online Development Team that reports into Digital Developer Platform. The role will be an integral part of all development projects on the Content Management System (CMS – Adobe Experience Manager) Shared Service and be responsible for coding effective solutions in accordance with industry standards. The role will also be required to support business partners on the usage of the CMS Shared Service. This role should possess a passion to solve problems, refactor code codes, pick up new technologies and level-up on existing expertise.


  • Design, build, develop and maintain all solutions on the CMS Shared Service, in accordance with industry standards.

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert of the CMS Shared Service and associated technologies assigned.

  • Align with the direction and information provided by the Management to drive deliver robust and usable solutions to meet functional requirements.

  • Work with various Technology and Business counterparts to drive the continuous improvements of the platforms.

  • Facilitate and lead System Integrated Testing on developed solutions in ensuring a bug-free release.

  • Facilitate and lead User Acceptance Testing activities on developed solutions.

  • Communicate and engage Business and Technology Partners to translate business requirements into functional requirements for design and development.

  • Deliver all assigned responsibilities in a timely manner and with a high level of quality.


General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology disciplines.

  • At least 3 to 6 years of working experience in the IT industry, preferably with advanced knowledge on Java and problem related practices, with specific focus on Adobe Experience Manager.

  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager is essential.

  • Analytical skills to understand business requirements and to translate into technical specifications.

  • Excellent articulation, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are required.

  • Excellent time management, organization and planning skills are essential.

  • Passionate about problem solving with excellent skills in troubleshooting.

  • Ability to document high quality functional and technical specifications.

  • Ability to set priorities in a multi-tasking environment.

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results with ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines.

  • Passion to learn and pick up new technologies as needs evolves.

Technical Qualifications

  • Excellent hands-on experience with JCR, Java, J2EE, JDBC and JSP is required.

  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on configuration and development experience on Adobe Experience Manager, with specific expertise on HTML Templating Language (Sightly) and Workflow Development is highly desirable.

  • Excellent hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, JQuery and Angular JS is advantageous.

  • Good hands-on experience with .NET is advantageous.

  • Good hands-on knowledge with the Linux/Unix environment.

  • Good hands-on experience both relational and non-relational databases.

  • Good knowledge on object-oriented fundamentals, software development and design practices will be highly advantageous.

  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management and Single-Sign-On methods will be advantageous.
