Job Description

The candidate will support the Senior Director of Merchant Risk Partnerships, North America to develop key merchant partnerships in the U.S. market. They will be responsible for working with clients to manage fraud exposure, enhance data security, and mitigate risk across the Visa payments ecosystem. The candidate will also manage execution of the U.S. security roadmap, including the rollout of strategic risk initiatives, services and products. They will champion and integrate these initiatives across key business stakeholders, including Sales, Product and Operations.

Key Accountabilities:

·       Develop engagement plans for key merchant and acquirer partners to support Visa risk priorities and reduce malicious activity in the payments ecosystem

·       Build and execute project plans to support various strategic initiatives of the US security roadmap; align with internal and external stakeholders on Visa’s risk strategy.

·       Meet with prospective partners and influence merchant clients to optimize usage of risk tools and services.

·       Analyze global fraud data to determine areas of opportunity for enhancing risk and fraud controls

·       Conduct industry research on payment security trends to support client initiatives and to drive Visa’s security strategy

·       Drive the adoption of risk products, secure technology and industry best practices to control Visa fraud levels within the US market 

·       Partner with the Global Risk organization to share threat information and collaborate on the development of coordinated solutions

·       Provide thought leadership to educate industry stakeholders on payment ecosystem threats and how to protect themselves.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in deciphering the story within very large data sets
  • Experience in fraud management and client facing roles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in payments, strategy, fraud management, and/or public policy; client-facing experience 
  • Recognized expertise in developing risk or security strategies; experience building partnerships with external fraud management teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; MBA preferred.
  • A proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to think creatively to solve unstructured problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience establishing strong working relationships across different functions and organizations.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly at all levels of management, including interaction with executive decision makers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working with large amounts of information and data.
