Job Description

The Associate Systems Analyst is responsible the operation of the Visa TPF/VIP Authorization system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for first level problem determination and recovery of the VIP Applications, Operating System, services and customer related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and operation of the Visa VIP Authorization system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for first level problem determination and recovery of VIP application, operating system and hardware failures.
  • Must be able to react to situations requiring VIP services to be switched to backup services.
  • Escalate and coordinate problem situations with the appropriate management, support groups and service partners when needed.
  • Works closely with service partners such as VIP Coverage, Batch Processing Support, Clearing and Settlement Coverage and Service Desk to ensure all VIP related services are operational and not causing member impact. 
  • Participate in all VIP Operations related daily briefings and turnovers.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are followed and are documented.

 

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Experience as a Computer Operator in a large datacenter environment with technical background in all mainframe/open systems related hardware, software and utilities in a multi-processing Tightly Coupled/Loosely Coupled environment.
  • Experience with the Visa/Inovant VIP Applications and Services preferred.
  • Experience with the following: TCP/IP, Remedy, MVS, VM, Windows and related applications.
  • Experience and/or exposure to automation tools and programming languages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem determination skills and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work day or night shifts in a 7X24X365 environment.
