Job Description

Key Accountabilities of the role are;

  • Strategic Planning – work closely with Managing Director and UK & Ireland leadership team to drive growth in the market.  The role will require an engaging and proactive individual with the ability to build relationships with leaders to execute the strategic plan in UK & Ireland
  • Business Planning – responsibility for creating and driving annual plans and multiyear plans
  • Business Management – oversight of business management and performance.  Managing and reporting of scorecard
  • Commercialisation – working closely with the Head of Business Excellence and Commercialisation to manage investment slate
  • People leadership and development

 

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Drive all business planning exercises; specifically, annual planning and multiyear planning
  • Manage UK&I Scorecard.  Including allocating KPI’s across teams and individuals, managing periodic reviews and driving accountability with owners of metrics within the scorecard.
  • Support all functions and markets in UK&I to establish clear targets for the team with a framework for robust decision making and analysis. 
  • Support the UK&I investment slate by managing the evaluation and approval process
  • Address the most pressing challenges and answer key business questions through strategy and solution development, being well versed in technology decisions and options for Visa and Visa’s clients.
  • Orchestrate and facilitate monthly/quarterly business reviews. Drive forecast accuracy and predictability against targets through improved sales process, system enhancements and total transparency with executive management.
  • Collaborate with business line management across UK&I and functional areas.  Balance facilitation, influence, and content contributions to help business leaders design, advance and execute their strategies
  • Proactively identify, structure, and manage complex issues to quickly arrive at recommendations that drive business priorities and demonstrate results to business lines
  • Identify, develop and drive longer-term strategies and initiatives that will deliver rapid growth & superior execution.
  • Enable and inspire strategy teams to structure and solve challenging business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal partners to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues.
  • Maintain excellent commercial and business landscape knowledge, to provide solid foundational context for critical strategic projects.
  • Comfortable working within a complex and often ambiguous environment, with the ability to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executives, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organisation.
