What’s it all about?

The Data Analyst is a key member of the Data Science Lab in the Europe region.  As a Data Analyst, you will work with other team members to develop and implement analytics solutions with a focus on the development, growth, and measurement of both existing and future data products and solutions.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Design, develop, and implement best in class analytic products and solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful business-centric insights from data through visualization and storyboarding
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes
  • Support product sales and go-to-market plans
  • Perform quality assurance on data and deliverables
  • Ensure all project documentation is up to date and all projects are reviewed per analytic plan
  • Ensure project delivery within timelines and budget requirements
  • Enhance existing analytic techniques by promoting new methodologies and best practices

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Mid-Level experience in analytics, reporting, or data product development applying statistical solutions to business problems
  • Strong business acumen with strong ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies.  Experience in payment, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is preferred
  • Deep understanding of data, market intelligence, and business intelligence tools and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate new techniques to solve business problems
  • Experience in presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders, including translating analytics output to actionable recommendations, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels

Technical Expertise

  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Detail oriented - expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigour in reports & data analysis.
  • Ensure the usage of the correct analytic measures and metrics to solve the business problem.
  • Excellent understanding of data marts, data relationship concepts and data processing.
  • Proficiency in analytic and business intelligence tools, e.g. SAS, R, Python, SPSS, Tableau, Business Objects, MicroStrategy.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop and Hbase/NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of advanced data mining and statistical modeling: Predictive modeling techniques (e.g., binomial and multinomial regression, ANOVA); Classification techniques (e.g., Clustering, Principal Component Analysis, factor analysis); Decision Tree techniques (e.g., CART, CHAID)
  • Hands on experience on processing extremely large data sets. Knowledge of payment network transactional data is a plus.
  • Ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies.
  • Fluency in one or more additional European languages a benefit; Polish, French, German preferred.
