Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) global business unit has overall responsibility for all aspects of business strategy, development and management of commercial products, as well as platform development and commercial information management. VBS serves clients engaged in providing payment products to middle market and large corporate/multinational companies, governments and commercial supply chain/B2B segments. VBS is accountable for global interoperability of Commercial products and services; developing new channel solutions and technology support; building alliances and solutions for new products, technologies, platforms and market segment penetration; and business unit analytics and reporting.

JOB SCOPE

As Product Manager Visa B2B Payment Solutions, you will be part of the Visa Global Commercial Product Team, where you will impact and contribute to the technical product teams’ overall goals and deliverables while receiving guidance and direction from Visa’s senior B2B payment product manager.  The team is responsible for the execution of the B2B electronic payables global product strategy and roadmap for the Commercial Solutions group of Visa, which is one of the greatest focus areas of Visa.   Additional product responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required plus knowledge of the payments industry. 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in product/project management or product development.  Experience in a commercial products role preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile development principles

  • Collaborates easily and successfully with all levels of management in a matrix organization structure.

  • Strategic and creative thinker with a high level of ownership, self-motivation and initiative.  Prior experience developing and implementing product plans/requirements.

  • Proven ability to service and support a range of internal and external stakeholders, often in parallel and within a shifting set of priorities.

  • Team player that can successfully interact with all levels of management both internally and externally.  Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the organization to accomplish Visa Commercial business priorities

  • Payment and/or FinTech product management experience desired

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required)

  • The ability to use computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel (advanced), Visio etc. (Required)

Additional Information

Essential Functions

  • As the representative of the business, monitor progress of project teams on developments, resolving and escalating issues as required. Communicate with internal support and sales teams to educate, gather customer feedback and resolve product issues.   

  • Communication of business requirements to technical teams and external vendors for creation of functional and technical requirements.  Validate accuracy of functional and technical requirements documents.

  • Responsible for the creation and accuracy of monthly volume reports; e-payables payment volume, API statistics and others as defined.

  • Create and execute use cases to validate that delivered functionality meets business expectations.

  • Provide core product documentation and guidance to other teams which produce marketing, implementation, training, and support materials. 

  • Support sales, implementation, and support teams in their relationships with financial institution issuers and end corporate clients as business product representative as required.

  • Develop release documentation and demonstrate completed features to regional and internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with other departments and provide general product education to ensure delivery of high quality products (Business Operations, Implementation & Training)
     

    Secondary Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent the product value proposition externally with clients

  • Lead and collaborate across teams in cross-functional projects

     

    Travel

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

 

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
