Job Description

What’s it all about? 

This roles is focused on coordinating Real Time Payments (RTP) procurement projects globally with internal stakeholders and our external fulfilment partners

What we expect of you, day to day.

Key aspects of the roles is as follows:

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders
  • Internal across all functions
  • External consultants
  • Establish and negotiate rate card
  • Manage and monitor spend
  • Develop and establish internal capability to respond to procurement projects as a long term objective and reduce the dependency on external consultants
  • Establish a repository of information to build out internal capability
  • Liaise with other third parties as described below to organize a standard input into procurement projects
  • Software house
  • Eco-system providers
  • Liaise with Global Real Time Payments team to leverage best practice and align in order to document for future BID activity
  • Develop sales and technical knowledge with a view to sharing with market Account Executive teams to improve BID process with focus on establishing a pipeline of opportunities
  • Identify cost saving opportunities as appropriate with procurement projects
  • Leverage existing and develop new relationships/partnerships across Visa and its affiliates to support Real Time Payments
  • Continuously review Real Time Payment procurement responses and recommend, develop, and implement changes that improve our BID management
  • Assist marketing and product development in launching new Real Time Payment products or expanding the penetration with participants of the service
  • Contribute to the development of a Real Time Payment strategy
  • Drive projects and programs that benefit the entirety of the global Real Time Payments team
  • Foster productive relationships at all levels with the stakeholders and partners
  • Participate in sales meetings and training activities
  • Ability to resolve stakeholder issues independently and escalate to management as appropriate
  • Prioritise tasks and projects in line with Real Time Payment strategy – being an advocate within Visa

Qualifications

  • Experience in Real Time Payment Environment (non-cards)
  • Experience of leading global payments practice and implementing real time payments
  • Senior level bids experience
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure delivery / operating in a regulated environment
  • Experience of working in a matrix management organisation
  • Open minded with flexibility on how the role adapts
  • Team player and ability to build relationships across a global organization
  • Passion for learning
  • Ability to operate independently  
  • Delivery of previous infrastructure or scheme related projects
