Job Description

Overview

Reporting to Operations Senior Director, this role will drive operational reporting and analysis for the Product organization as part of Product Delivery’s Business Strategy & Operations team.

We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Business Strategy & Operations who enjoys digging into the numbers in an effort to drive operational performance, both globally and regionally, in a complex, matrixed environment.  The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, highly collaborative team player who is proactive at identifying and resolving issues. This individual contributor position is based out of our San Francisco or Foster City, CA office.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact:

  • Deliver reporting & analysis including executive reporting, scorecards, product pipeline performance, and other ad hoc reports

  • Lead the way in improving how we deliver data, including scorecard automation or creating Tableau dashboards to enable self-service reporting

  • Reinforce adherence to metric definitions and data sources across all teams and regions

  • Maintain data integrity and become the single point of truth for our executive scorecards, reporting and dashboards

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance, analytics, measurement, or related quantitative field

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools

  • Experience with SQL (Hadoop preferred)

  • Ability to mine and analyze large sets of data, articulate trends, and present actionable insights

  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills

  • Extreme attention to detail and ownership of work product

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and produce time sensitive deliverables

  • Experience working in an agile environment preferred

 

    Additional Information

    Essential Functions

    • Ability to translate business concepts and ideas into an accurate, error checked model (e.g. in Excel)
    • Can conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
    • Demonstrates basic knowledge of problem solving methods to inform data analysis approach
    • Breaks down most problems into fundamental parts in a systemic way
    • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
    • Identifies grounded opportunities for strategic, operational, and organizational improvements

    Physical Requirements

    • This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

    Travel Requirements

    • Less than 10% travel required
