Job Description

Position Summary

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT).  In the US, Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), and funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements).  Currently, the push payments market in the North America is estimated to be a $13T opportunity.

The North America Visa Direct Solutions Architect will be a key team member of the North America Visa Direct Ecosystem Readiness team which is building the infrastructure to drive Visa Direct’s exponential growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic business and architecture solutions as well as deploying new use-cases to the region to meet the exciting and dynamic needs of the North America Visa Direct (NAVD) product.  She/he will report to the NAVD Ecosystem Readiness Lead and collaborate with regional stakeholders to consolidate the product roadmap whilst coordinating with product development teams to ensure the region has access to viable and agile solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and deploy solutions for North America Visa Direct 
  • Provide business and technical solutions for new use-cases penetrating the NAVD market, by conducting extensive market research, reviewing ecosystem readiness, and in close collaboration with the NAVD regional, global, and cross-border teams
  • Enable solutions by working with several stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Client Support (CS), Risk, Compliance, AML, and product teams across Visa
  • Manage all communications (internal and external) and ensure ecosystem readiness while implementing solutions
  • Be a Visa Direct product SME and support NAVD client implementations
  • Monitor business enhancement releases and other product related changes and be the focal point of contact for NA regional, global, and cross-border teams for Visa Direct
  • Responsible for all NAVD pricing implementations and work with Finance Ops, Interchange, and Billing teams
  • Support PPGS, Visa Direct tokenization, 3DS and any gateway related solutions for the NAVD product team including creating artifacts that are tailored for NAVD
  • Liaison between Cybersource and NAVD product and other cross-functional teams in arriving at holistic solutions
  • Gatekeeper of the product roadmap and work closely with product development teams to ensure region’s readiness in implementing new solutions
  • Manage marquee merchant deployments in the NAVD business that have high level of strategic importance, execution and technical complexity, in close coordination with NAVD commercialization and sales teams
  • Deliver proofs of concept and other business/technical evaluations of technologies, designs, and solutions as needed
  • Lead and actively manage complex projects, execute on project deliverables and timelines to provide meaningful insights to business
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENT :

    This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5-10% of the time.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with a Masters/MBA/JD/MD or at least 5 years of work experience with a PhD

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS required (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology); MBA desirable
  • 12 years of experience with strong payments processing knowledge
  • Visa Direct product and technical knowledge is a plus
  • Critical thinker, strong organization skills, ability to craft solutions that are well thought out, unique and make Visa Direct stand out in the market place
  • Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate technical solutions
  • Extremely driven and passionate about payments, it’s future, and closely engaged with technical solutions implemented globally
  • Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities
  • Strong team player, collaborative, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, influence, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately with stakeholders and executives
  • Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations and solutions
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
