Job Description

Position Summary
Responsible for successful development and demonstration of digital products in China to gain preference of Visa brand from clients including issuers, acquirers and non-FIs, and enhance VISA’s industry leadership position in China market.
 
Job Scope

Reporting to Sr. Director of Digital Product Technology & Deployment in China, this person requires close collaboration with global and regional digital product & solution teams, as well as with cross-functional teams across Visa China such as business development, acceptance, marketing, DDP, and risk. The position requires effective engagement with senior leaders and peers across internal Visa as well as with external stakeholders, regulators, clients, and partners for delivering solutions to market.
 
Responsibilities
•    Successfully identify, qualify and quantify market specific opportunities and understand critical factors to successfully support technical and market deployment of digital products in China.
•    Implement chip migration and development with clients to meet PBOC mandate and Visa standards. Work with cross function teams to proactively provide pre-sale support to identify and pursue chip card and mobile payment opportunities, follow project coordination for implementation.
•    Work with local, regional and global Visa teams, clients, and partners to develop and implement initiatives in mobile payment and ecommerce areas to drive the innovation agenda in China.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts at major clients to complement and support relationship management by the geographic and sales team.
•    Ensure continuous monitoring of local market benchmark in terms of competitive activity and capabilities.

Qualifications

•    Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the payments, technology or financial services industry
•    Deep understanding & exposure to payment technology, including chip, ecommerce and mobile, with relevant business development and delivery experience
•    Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive initiatives and implement solutions in a dynamic payments industry
•    Self-starter with strong results-orientation, sound business judgment, and strong communication skills
•    Good team player: team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible
•    Client-facing experience, with strong negotiation/influence and presentation skills
•    Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
•    Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree is highly preferred
