The Data Product Development group is a key component of Visa's Technology organization that provides the enabling technology and processes to manage Visa's data assets and deliver value added information
products and services to customers. Areas of focus include Business Intelligence and Analytics, Marketing Services, Commercial Card, Fraud/Authentication and Risk. The portfolio comprises of over 90 data products for various external clients and internal lines of business. We provide services on behalf of traditional bank customers to millions of cardholders and merchants around the world. Our Project Analysts are highly visible leaders, building bridges across Visa to ensure projects are effectively developed, integrated and deployed with quality and on time delivery into our production systems.
We are actively looking for several talented Project Analysts to join our team.
Accountable for the end-to-end planning and execution of one or more projects and/or Agile teams. Lead and negotiate, scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for projects and initiatives.
Coach multiple teams through the software development life cycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices and work cross-functionally throughout the company to ensure projects are developed and deployed with quality and timely delivery into our production systems.
Ask thoughtful questions to help our customers, product owners, and product managers to maximize ROI and meet company objectives. Understand product strategy and benefits of key deliverables in area of responsibility.
Work with product owner to promote and contribute to the improvement of the product backlog
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies
Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
Coach team in estimation techniques
Develop metrics and reports using Rally to help the team understand its health and progress and to set goals
Lead and coach a team in its Agile adoption
Ensure clear communication and collaboration among the Product Owner and members of the Development team.
Track and drive prioritization and remediation of security findings, compliance issues and other Visa mandated guidelines in a timely fashion
2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required\
- 3+ years of Scrum Master experience
- 5+ years relevant Program/Project Management experience
- Knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, TDD, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, Automated Testing
- Good prioritization, negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with other Lean/Agile framework and methods, i.e.: Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with light supervision
- Proficient in at least one agile project management tool: Rally, Jira, Version One, etc.
The incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
The position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
