Job Description

Payroll Processing and Administration

  • Process payroll calculations and ensure legislative compliance to local labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Process regular cycle as well as off-cycle payroll of new hires and terminations.
  • Process post-payroll payment, statutory benefits and tax reporting according to local labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare monthly payroll related journals for General Ledger and payment summaries.
  • Ensure queries are attended and clarified from the HR mailbox and closing HR tickets within stipulated timeline.
  • Act as the main focal point to payroll service providers and work closely with Director in region and alignment of Corporate Payroll values
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, mobility, benefits, operations and controllership Team.

Payroll Compliance

  • Prepare reports and documents required by auditors and government agencies.
  • Ensure all payroll related data are confidential and encrypted with password protection when sending information across email.

Payroll Projects

  • Participate in payroll projects or change requests to improve the current processes and communication and payroll process flow.
  • Any other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree holder with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in end-to-end payroll operation/administration in APAC region, especially in Japan
  • Meticulous with strong analytical, organization and planning skills.
  • Good in verbal and written communication skills with customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, government and tax regulation, especially in Singapore
  • Proficiency in Workday and ADP will be an added advantage.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, hands-on, growth oriented work environment with tight timeline.
