Job Description

Position Summary

Visa’s Products and Solutions is a global client facing organization that sets Visa’s product design and public innovation agenda, co-develops products and solutions by securing commercial partnerships with industry leading brands and New Payment Enablers, and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to demonstrate the science of the possible for clients and partners.

As the Subject Matter Expert, Consumer & Commercial Products Senior Director, coordinates the product management and expansion activities in Mexico, collaborating with our Clients and partners as well as with Business Development, Marketing and Operations teams to bring innovative solutions that will help expand Visa’s leadership in the market.

The Consumer & Commercial Products Senior Director, brings a deep passion for technology and payments, a futurist view, ability to understand and capture trends and a broad understanding of (or aptitude for) Visa’s capabilities and assets. Co-creation will be enabled by synchronizing various Visa core assets (e.g. Visa APIs), new products (e.g. Visa Services), new environments (e.g. Mobile apps, Connected Cars, IoT etc.) and innovations in the ecosystem driven by start-ups in the financial technology and other.

The Consumer & Commercial Products will support various key commercialization and product management initiatives including: business analysis and portfolio performance, conduct competitive assessments to identify gaps and opportunities, identify key industry trends and develop action plans, enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients, spread the innovation narrative for the segment, discovering and cataloging Visa assets that support the innovation agenda (e.g., workshops and panels, client brainstorming sessions) and fleshing out the innovation delivery methodology. The individual will work with various partners within the group as well as broadly within Visa to execute on his/her deliverables.

 

He/she will work with minimal guidance in a fast paced, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high-level guidance into detailed deliverables. He/she will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

·         Leadership and supervision of 5-10 high performance professionals

·         Ability to diligently manage an expense Budget of over US$4M strictly aligned with the Mexico strategic plan

·         Responsible for defining and developing the consumer & commercial strategies and tactics to expand Visa’s leadership in Mexico. .

·         Overall responsibility for all aspects of business strategy, development and management of B2B solutions, as well as platform development and commercial information management.

·         Implement new commercial intelligence strategies for new products development in order to have more valuable information regarding the new market segments and their interaction with digital and non-digital financial services.

·         Provide consultative product expertise for internal clients for a better understating              of our products and new digital services available for our market, also will provide               expertise to Issuers and partners

·         Identify and partner with leading solutions in the market to enhance the value we                provide to our Client’s and partners in Mexico. With guidance, manage outreach to           select companies in fintech to drive collaboration/engagement

·         Establish exceptional partnerships and solutions that drive mutually beneficial                    opportunities for the partner, Visa and our clients.

·         Developing solutions and offerings that are non-standard are core to this role.                    Thinking above and beyond to bring groundbreaking ideas practically to life are                  part  of the teams DNA.

·         Successful execution of this role will be achieved through a combination of                          leadership, strong knowledge of the market trends, solutions and technologies,                  excellent communication and product commercialization skills, and applied strategy            a wide array of product offerings.

·         This is a matrixed, cross functional role, so organizational savvy and interpersonal              skills are critical. This role will interface across all regions and multiple markets and            engage with specialized product groups, financial institution sales, merchant sales,            client consulting, operations, technology, risk, analytics, marketing and corporate               communications, legal, standards, corporate strategy, interchange/pricing, finance             to  coordinate the build, launch and support of new and existing products.

·         Represent Visa Inc. in the payments, technology and retail forums that have and                impact on the payment systems in Mexico

 

Qualifications

 

·         15-18 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or

·         12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, MD or PhD)

·         Demonstrated success in identifying, executing, and managing strategic partner                      relationships.

·         Ability to attract and develop top-talent from within and outside the organization to                 achieve goals and objectivesExcellent communication skills at different levels (speech          adaptability according to audience)

·         Strong understanding of consumer & commercial products, solutions, and capabilities            with the ability to embed this understanding into partner discussions, commercial                    agreements, etc.

·         Persuasive and negotiation abilities

·         Experience evaluating a technology landscape, preferably within payments and                      commerce

·         Passion for technology, futuristic view and intellectually curious

·         Excellent partner-facing communication and presentation skills in English and                        Spanish.

·         A track record of working cross functionally and delivering measurable results, while              managing internal and external stakeholders.
