Lead Systems Engineer for Product Reliability Engineering will work and act as a technical expert to a group of highly motivated engineers on the architecture and designing solutions.

The initiatives are not limited to Big Data Services but end to end solutions to ensure the performance and resiliency of the system to be best in class and can meet the strict OLA and SLA commitments. You will review the architecture in parallel to provide guidance to the developers, partners in core engineering and product and will identify opportunities to improve and optimize the delivery. You will also demonstrate technology expertise as a software engineer and deep architectural knowledge to keep the system performance stable with zero impact to the business.

        Basic Qualifications

• 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering

• Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in designing, building and running critical business solutions on large scale platforms.

• 12 or morre years of development experience in Java/J2EE, REST API(s).

• 5 or more years hand-on experience in leading, guiding development team on Distributed Systems

• Any Big Data Development Certification (Hadoop, Kafka etc) is required or equivalent experience of 5 years as a developer.

• 3 or more years hands-on experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning of real time/near

• Preferred Qualifications

• 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters) in Engineering or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD in Engineering

• Expert knowledge and hands on experience in JAVA which includes:

• Collection Frameworks

• Thread Management

• Abstraction, Inheritance and polymorphism

• Garbage Collection

• Java 8 features e.g, for each method in Iterable interfaces, default and static methods in Interfaces, functional Interfaces and Lambda Expressions, Java Stream API for Bulk Data Operations on Collections

• Solid understanding and Hands On experience in JMS (Java Messaging Service) and integrate with Message Driven Bean(EJB) and SOA services is good to have

• Solid understanding on Design Pattern principles which is used across enterprise

• Knowledge of SOA (building REST/SOAP APIs) is mandatory

• Good understanding of any Middleware Stack

• Good exposure in delivering projects under Agile methodologies

• Experience in Unix/Linux/Python scripting is mandatory

• Experience with GIT, Jira and Jenkins environment is a plus

• Knowledge of Angular JS framework is plus

• Work independently, driving projects end-to-end experience is plus

• Working experience with globally distributed team is a plus

• Java Development Certification is preferred

• Experience/knowledge in Dockers, Kubernetes is plus 

• Hands-on experience in Python Scripting/Linux Shell Script/Scala is highly preferred.

• Must have strong self-motivation, sense of ownership and ability to retain focus under stress during crisis situations.

• Must have strong business ethics, self-discipline and trustworthiness to handle sensitive confidential data in live production environment.

• Essential Functions

• Will be responsible to provide E2E Solutions for new Projects/POC(s), In-House products.

• Will be responsible to build interface, tune and perform operational efficiency on Real Time Messaging and Batch Cluster.

• Will be responsible to build the Dashboards, Open Source Grid, automate and monitor health of the Operational clusters and build the monitoring tool.

• Will be responsible to work closely with the development and application teams to design/deliver/resolve issues as part of engineering.

• Will contribute on the Apache Open Source Products
