Job Description

Visa's Bangalore Technology Center is a strategic site with 1200 employees currently and growing. Reporting to the Visa Bangalore Site Lead, this is a leadership position with the charter to manage the overall operations of the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive Employee Engagement: Work with the Site Lead and BU heads to define and drive Site/BU initiatives to keep employees consistently engaged and productive. Program manage these initiatives by collaborating with various business and supporting teams.
  • Site Events: Bangalore Technology Center runs various activities throughout the year consisting of CSR, Health & Wellness, Team Building, Brown Baggers, Activity Clubs, Technology Expos, Hiring events etc. You will be responsible for defining the high-level structure, prioritizing and helping with necessary site resources. Volunteers lead many of these activities and you will be the SPOC for guidance, communication, conflict resolution etc.
  • Direct management of key projects: Independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, such as External events sponsored by Visa, Site Annual Events, Executive Visits, Leadership meets. Your responsibilities include Developing and Collating content, Legal Approvals, Branding and Communication support, Facilitation of contracts, Logistics support etc by collaborating with the respective support functions internally.
  • Enable smooth business operations for the site: Enable smooth operations in collaboration with Site Leadership, HR, Finance, Corporate Real Estate, Risk & Compliance, Crisis Management teams on a range of operational & strategic actions like identifying site focus areas, risk assessment, space expansion, infrastructure planning and business continuity. Provide insights to support key decisions at site, based on feedback through various forums like Engagement Surveys, focus groups, Q&A at All Staffs etc.
  • Maintain an active and current Site Events Calendar.
  • Manage staff communication: Write, provide inputs and manage communications from Site Lead’s office. Prepare decks for All Staffs and executive meetings. Stay aligned with global communications and help cascade key messages at site. Apply precision and thorough diligence to all deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. Masters Degree or MBA a plus.
  • 12+ years of total relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years in managing complex, multi-team/stakeholder programs.
  • Experience in a business role (such as within a Chief of Staff function) for a medium to large leading technology company is highly preferred.
  • Ability to think of the big picture, drive execution, and roll up sleeves to get the job done.
  • Ability to manage Programs/Projects in the capacity of a site PMO lead.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to staff, senior managers and external business partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, data presentation, collaboration, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills, with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Skilled in the creation of presentations (and other supporting documents) for an executive audience. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
