Job Description

At Visa we are committed to ensuring that all new employees have a world-class onboarding experience no matter where they are located around the globe. This experience includes ensuring they have access to information related to benefits, an understanding of the company, and access to our systems in advance to their first day.  We are seeking a passionate Associate Program Manager to assist us with this effort. In this role, our future team member will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of onboarding new employees as well as managing projects that help drive a truly best in class experience for both our new employees and their hiring managers.

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree

Essential Functions

  • Effective program management qualities, including the ability to execute end to end back office activities to ensure new employees are added into all necessary systems prior to employment

  • Effective project management capabilities with a history of designing and implementing discreet projects of small to medium-size scale

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Global Onboarding to develop end to end project plans for global onboarding projects, including developing the plan itself, documenting business requirements, setting deadlines, overseeing user acceptance testing, drafting communications related to the launch of the project

  • Responsible for the operational aspect of onboarding new employees including working in an application tracking system (ATS), validating job offer details, integrating employee information into internal systems, managing communications to new employees and their hiring managers

  • Proactively seek out ways to improve and automate the backend onboarding process that the Global Onboarding team manages

  • Key point of contact for multiple stakeholders and customers, ranging from Talent Acquisition to system admins to external candidates, all of whom are involved in the employee onboarding workflow

  • Partner with global stakeholders to develop discreet programs and pilots for new employees and hiring managers

  • Provide subject matter expertise to Technology partners to help build internal tools that streamline the onboarding experience for new employees, hiring managers and the Global Onboarding team

  • Perform root cause analysis and develop mitigation strategies when issues arise post-implementation or when issues are discovered in the onboarding process itself

  • Lead activities for onboarding employees from acquisition and merger events

  • Carry out project work as requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 or more years of relevant work experience managing initiatives or projects in a corporate environment, preferably in the Payments and/or Technology industry

  • Experience with managing information and access within MS Teams

  • Strong process orientation and demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative professional business relationships with all levels of management, employees and outside companies

  • Strong organization skills; ability to multi-task; show initiative and work aggressively to meet deadlines

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; effective and confident presentation skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project); technologically savvy

  • Good judgment, strong common sense, and excellent attention to detail

  • Proactive and solution-oriented, solid analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically

  • Ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed

  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changes in priorities, work demands, roles and responsibilities

  • Experience engaging with business partners across the company, clearly setting expectations and effectively managing communications with all stakeholders

  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate protocol, maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality

  • Prior history with Workday or similar human capital management systems

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
