Job Description

 

  • Will provide implementations project management for new and existing Global Dispute Services (GDS) customers converting to the Visa/GDS platform for dispute services.

  • Will serve as implementation project manager for complex assignments where significant initiative and judgment are required as well as driving regular interaction with client senior management to ensure timelines and deliverables are met at Visa, the client and their vendors.

  • Will operate within the context of established goals and objectives which are visible to Visa and client’s management. Will maintain primary responsibility for all Visa resources and their ability to meet client commitments.

  • Will act as primary liaison between Visa support staff and customers and represent customer system and operational requirements to internal organizations.

  • Will develop project plans, identify project team resource requirements, establish project dates, deliverables and management reports.

  • Will track and manage all internal and external issues to resolution while remaining accountable to client senior management for Visa contract commitments.

  • Is able to meet the specified job responsibilities with only high-level guidance, direction and/or involvement from management using established guidelines, procedures and policies.

  • Can work independently with high degree of initiative to manage work flow, resolve problems and meet deadlines.

  • Will apply working knowledge of a variety of systems and procedures to assess business and technical impact of project requirements and communicate these to clients and internal Visa departments while providing business savvy pro-active guidance for all parties as to industry best practices.

  • Plan and conduct client meetings and conference calls to ensure topics stay on point and all objectives are met and tracked.

  • Can support multiple different project scenarios concurrently, while ensuring clients are treated as their only priority.

  • May direct the efforts of one or more Implementation Managers on more complex projects.

  • May provide guidance to associates and team.

  • May perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • College degree or equivalent work experience is required.

  • 7 to 12 years experience in dispute processing, regional network processing, and Visa rules is required.

  • 7 to 12 years project management experience is required.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Dispute industry is preferred.

  • Has depth of knowledge and technical aptitude to perform complex responsibilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Must be comfortable driving client meetings with senior level client participants.

  • Effective time management, planning, organizational, and logical problem solving skills required.

  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities at once and re-prioritize tasks with minimal involvement from management.

  • Ability to comprehend technical information, translate it into business relevance and apply it to the job.

  • P.C. proficiency is required.

 

Additional Information

Work Hours

Incumbent is required to work core business hours with requirements to work late evenings and early mornings as required by global client needs.

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 30% of the time and travel may include international destinations.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
