Job Description

Client Information Application Development team of Network Processing is a Product development and Support organization consisting of Open system and Legacy technology applications such as VCIS, CORE, Config, MVV, PRM, Profiler, Client Directories and located in Foster City, Bangalore & Singapore. We are undergoing a massive effort to reengineer our applications to address business needs and advances in Open source technology. The Director of CORE  application, Singapore will lead the team responsible for production support, maintenance and application development for CORE application. This role requires a firm understanding of Software development in  Open system technologies, Production support and maintenance of applications such as applying patches, version upgrades and software implementation. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, excellent communicator,  team builder,  excellent collaborator, have demonstrable expertise in Software Development & support and above all be customer and team focused. The candidate will manage and supervise assigned technical staff; work closely with peers in the development and test engineering teams within Network Processing as well as senior management and other groups across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, coach and grow a high-performing, cross-functional team
  • People manager tasks such as coaching, performance review and talent management
  • Work with Peers in Foster City, Bangalore and Singapore to plan for application installs
  • Ensure production incidents are assigned and monitor the progress till the closure of the incident or follow the escalation procedures
  • Ensure process for Incident management, change management and problem management are followed.
  • Publish operational metrics for Incidents, requests, change etc
  • Monitor Patch updates to servers to ensure all the servers are complaint.
  • Manage prioritization and delivery of enhancements and bug fixes
  • Work Collaboratively with peers to manage dependencies and resolve operational issues
  • Lead software engineers to plan and deliver various projects for enhancing the platform and meet business requirements
  • Perform ATC duties for CORE application




  • More than 10 years of experience in Software development, test engineering and production support.
  • 3+ years of experience in people management or Leadership in project delivery.
  • Experience supporting live applications and managing business critical technical functions and SLA compliance.
  • Consistent record of accomplishment in hiring and managing top talent, including software engineers.
  • Demonstrate a wide range of engineering experiences including many of these areas: JAVA, Angular JS, Ext JS, ORACLE BPM, DB2, WebSphere, WebLogic, Linux and MVS.
  • Familiarity with IBM mainframe platform is a plus.
  • Experience with technology transformation of legacy applications.
  • Must have working experience building high volume and large scale distributed systems.
  • Banking or Payments systems experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem determination and customer relations skills
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technical field or equivalent experience required
