Job Description

The Visa Business Solutions (VBS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing tremendous, double-digit growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core card solutions. This is an incredibly exciting team to join our team as we expand globally. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.  Our focus within Business Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution.

Within VBS, the Business Planning and Operations team is responsible for leading operations, business planning, sales planning, and product delivery and readiness across the global organization.  We are looking for the right candidate to join our dynamic team to manage VBS go to market and sales operations in partnership with cross functional stakeholders to deliver across our goals.

The Sr Director of VBS Sales & Product Readiness will be responsible for:

  • Influence and lead overall go to market strategy and product readiness for VBS including partnering with global and regional product teams to reinforce best practices and support.
  • Work with executive and senior management to drive and execute go to market strategic initiatives, and develop operating plans as necessary to deliver short term and long term results.
  • Collaborate with global and regional product leads to build 2-3 year product roadmaps and lead product performance reviews across portfolios.  Partner with global and regional sales teams to review and coordinate sales pipeline and sales enablement activities to achieve revenue targets
  • Partner with and drive cross-functional alignment with marketing to establish a VBS product marketing strategy and team to support the Commercial and Small Business teams develop, grow, and launch VBS products and solutions
  • Work with the global product and regional product teams to set and prioritize product and solution initiatives.
  • Communicate and coordinate overall VBS strategic narrative, product strategy and roadmap across cross-functional stakeholders including CSS, Marketing, Technology, and Regional product teams.
  • Define and track success measures across product delivery and lifecycle management through product performance reviews
  • Build relationships and infrastructure across functions including Sales, Product and Solutions, Consulting, and Marketing to effectively operate globally.

Qualifications

Basic:

12 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, planning and product or sales operation roles. Management consulting experience preferred.
  • Commercially astute and passionate about supporting Visa to achieve its performance objectives; Strategy, planning and business case assessment experience; Financial, accounting, and/or econometric skills highly valued
  • A growth mindset: Curious, committed to ongoing learning while also being an agent for change in the organization
  • Capable of handling complexity and ambiguity, and adapting to evolving organizational requirements
  • Versatility to tackle a diverse range of issues facing the company (regulatory, commercial, organizational)
  • Ability to analyze the market in terms of future profit pools, payment volume growth, pricing opportunities, competitor threats etc.
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment. Driving consensus, decisions and results through influencing would be key to success.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of the payment industry preferred
