Job Description

Essential Functions:

Manager, Marketing Programs – The Marketing Manager will be a key member of our North America Marketing team, driving strategic, integrated marketing programs to merchants and acquirers to generate leads, optimize and accelerate awareness, thought leadership, engagement and demand.

The Marketing Manager leads the marketing effort to drive adoption of Authorize.Net and CyberSource solutions sold through specific tiers of the Financial Institutions channel. He/she will help develop go-to-market programs, business-value messaging, and solution-level materials. We are seeking a B2B marketing professional with a passion for “engineering” a buying/sales cycle and building industry reputation to deliver consistent and efficient prospect engagement and sales close, spanning the entire length of the buyer’s journey.

The Marketing Manager will own and manage marketing programs for Authorize.Net and CyberSource payment solutions working with merchants and acquirers targeting the small business segment. The Marketing Manager will report to the Sr. Director, North America Marketing and work closely with Solutions Marketing, Marketing Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

Candidate may work from our Lehi, UT office with some domestic travel expected.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • 3-6 years of marketing programs work experience with a knowledge and understanding of the payments and merchant acquiring space and a Bachelor’s Degree or

  • 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).

  • Demonstrated ability to assume “business leadership” for Authorize.Net & CyberSource marketing efforts to merchants and acquirers targeting small business (championing function/role/objectives), instill passion and appreciation for the true art and science of the marketing/sales messaging and enablement process throughout the buyer’s journey.

  • Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills. Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, architectural, and verbal). Strong command of Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications. Command of systems like Eloqua, Salesforce, & Tableau a plus.

  • Story telling. Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, fact-based, sales-usable product and value proposition stories (requires strong analytical and creative thought processes). Has ability to “see” the unseen story, and generate story from disparate pieces.

  • An eye for compelling creative.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop go-to-market plans, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and develop high-quality tools, collateral, presentations to execute your vision

  • Demonstrated strong agency management and coordination skills.

  • Proven success in launching products/services and driving more sales.

  • Strong communications skills (written, translating messages into graphic concepts, verbal).

  • Strong buyer journey and sales enablement orientation—message, buying-cycle-savvy, understanding of sales methodologies, customer business process focused, effective tools/proof.

  • Familiarity with eCommerce business process/order management processes and technology desired.

  • Successful record of accomplishment of B2B program marketing experience, particularly in the small business audience segment.

  • Manage marketing budget to generate the agreed return on marketing investment.

  • Design and develop partnership-specific content, tools and resources (whitepapers, presentations, webinars, surveys, ROI tools, benchmarking tools, etc.) required at each point in buying cycle (for demand offers and sales enablement).

  • Coordinate, strategize and maintain digital marketing channels: web and social media.

  • Liaise with agency to develop ongoing plans and content calendars, coordinate with regional teams to manage ongoing digital marketing efforts.

  • Coordinate events and workshops in target market.

Additional Information

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to travel for work  up to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
