Job Description

What is it all about?

Responsible for leading all aspects of planning, road-mapping and reporting in support of the Visa Global Urban Mobility Solutions (VGUMS) team and the global strategy/narrative concerning urban mobility and smart cities, to accelerate the growth of Visa contactless and other payments, globally.

 

KEY WORK OUTPUTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Take ownership of resource and budget planning for the newly formed Visa Global Urban Mobility Solutions (VGUMS) team, providing transparency of its key activities and balancing the demands being placed on it from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capture and maintain product roadmaps across the spectrum of product solutions and initiatives in support of the VGUMS function, with clear articulation of the proposition and context of each.
  • Take ownership of all VGUMS reporting for internal stakeholders, leveraging Playbook, Compass and Insite where possible in order to articulate the progress of the VGUMS in terms of delivering against the agreed plan and commitments.
  • Support with the development and definition of propositions and product design for capabilities and services to meet identified needs of the VGUMS team and our clients.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders globally, as well as external clients (FI’s, merchants and tech partners) where required.

     

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

    • High level of drive, stamina and energy – and the determination to help build the VGUMS initiative, globally.
    • Deep experience in the payments industry, particularly in a planning, project or programme capacities.
    • Previous experience of successful product development and product rollout would be desirable.
    • Broad knowledge and experience of the complexities of the payment and transit ecosystems.
    • Broad knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies.
    • Ability to assess situations and solve problems through sound reasoning and structured thinking.
    • Ability to influence stakeholders.
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the commercial drivers for both Visa and our clients.
    • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for working cross-functionally and cross-divisionally.
    • Great people management and natural leadership skills.
