Job Description

We take on hard engineering problems around speed, usability, scalability, security and financial safety to help our customers invest in the rapidly growing digital asset space, and to protect their investments. This is where you come in.

 

 

Essential Functions

  • Own the functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from the inception to deployment and customer integration
  • Design, architect and implement robust and high performance API platforms
  • Build integration libraries and SDKs to interface with our server and APIs
  • Expose and document functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and our internal and external tooling
  • Collaborate closely with all engineering teams to ensure consistency in understanding of technical requirements and overall work quality
  • Provide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Analytics
  • 8+ years of experience with server-side web development frameworks
  • Experience as an  architecture team lead/ panel for reviewing new features
  • Experience with Node.JS to create software as a service API products
  • Experience with  RESTful API design, SDK development, MVC, and Javascript
  • Proficiency with Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Redis/Aerospike, RocksDB, Postgres
  • Experience with  unit and functional testing and debugging
  • Proficiency with  algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis
  • Experience with Docker, and Kubernetes highly preferred
  • and others requiring low latency / real time data processing preferred

Work Hours

The incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements

The position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
