Job Description

Visa's Global Payment Products and Platforms group is responsible for identifying new opportunities that exist within the digital payment landscape, creating strategies that define Visa's participation in those opportunities, and delivering the capabilities required to capture those opportunities. Within that team, the Solution Delivery function will work with a diverse set of Visa issuers, merchants, and digital and IOT ecosystem partners to deliver Visa Token Service and Secure Remote Commerce successfully into the marketplace.  This position will lead a small team of sales and technical engineers supporting engagements with key global top 100 merchant partners. This position would be ideal for a candidate with an engineering or pre-sales consultant background with management experience looking to build upon that experience in the product side of a payments technology company.

Essential Functions

-       Support Visa Token Service (VTS) commercial rollouts with top 100 global merchants 

-       Drive programmatic commercial adoption from 0% to 100% usage of COF tokenization with key merchants

-       Work in conjunction with regional and global staff to define Card on File (COF) tokenization rollout strategies, processes and activities

-       Lead a team of sales and technical engineers, and program managers supporting merchant partner integrations

-       Responsible for supporting the global commercial and market expansion of strategic partners with COF token and SRC payment use cases 

-       Work with team members to share learnings from projects and teams across the world

-       Responsible to advise and guide clients (Merchants, strategic partners, and technology providers) on Visa digital integration options and act as a technical SME for VTS integrations by being able to understand the platform in its entirety, from overall architecture to the nuances of individual messaging protocols and data transmitted in those messages

-       Responsible to advice and educate internal stakeholders in the region on integration options/features for all digital supported products

-       Provide product guidance to client support and development staff configuring client interfaces

-       Provide pre-sales technical integration support for the Visa Digital Solutions SDKs and digital services APIs

-       Provide on-field first level technical support for VTS and VCO integrations

-       Maintain client satisfaction by supporting engagements resulting in successful go-lives

-       Support the on boarding process for VTS and VCO clients and work with regional teams ensuring that sales team are accurately & suitably supported resulting in successfully closed deals

-       Contribute to developing internal and external product documentation including product and technical integration guides in support of VTS integrations

-       Work in conjunction with regional staff with regards to supporting VTS and SRC client integrations

-       Recommend improvements and enhancements to VTS and SRC capabilities to product managers in the product development stream to accelerate adoption with key stakeholders in key marketplaces/segments/regions

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

-       Bachelor’s degree required in computer/electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent technology expertise and acumen acquired through work experience

-       Prefer a minimum of 15+ years progressively responsible experience in product development in mobile payments and/or mobile platforms or in payments systems integration or product marketing or sales

-       Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences, in a sales-oriented manner

-       Ability to work across multiple teams stationed in different time zones in an organization

-       Ability to manage customer expectations

-       Proven client facing experience

-       Independent decision making required on daily basis with minimal oversight from senior members of staff

-       Complex and varied workload, required to support multiple ongoing implementations and sales processes

-       Advanced planning, organizational and problem solving skills

-       Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple activities with both internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

-       Prefer a technically minded candidate with consulting experience in a sales engineering or systems integration or product marketing role

-       Advanced written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines

-       The ideal candidate will have experience with digital payment issuance programs (i.e., payWave or payPass), smart card deployments (i.e., EMV), or with applications using NFC

-       Preferred experience in an engineering or pre-sales consultant role with international experience

-       Understanding of mobile payments technology, including NFC, secure elements, contactless payments, online/remote payments, and in app payments would be helpful

-       Familiarity with Visa contactless payment products, including the underlying specifications and relationship to EMV and GlobalPlatform standards bodies would be helpful

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Hours

-       Ability to support cross functional collaboration with Asia Pacific, CEMEA, EU, and LAC time zones

Travel Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 20% of the time
