In this critical role, you will take a lead role in the continued innovation of Visa’s Cyber Security strategy and drive Visa’s competitive advantage in payments by facilitating a best in class security infrastructure using Opensource solutions.

Essential Functions             

• Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities
• Engage in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirements
• Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization
• Demonstrate technical mastery and be an inspirational leader and mentor who continuously develops the competencies of him/herself and others 
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Network Automation: recommending and integrating security protocols, products and tools to enterprise systems.
• Responsible for creating technical documentation, working with peers to determine the long-term strategy for the solution, documentation of existing and new capabilities and should be comfortable working with and communicating with members of the Security Engineering Solutions team, vendors and internal business partners
• Develop innovative solutions to protect the Visa brand, networks, assets and products by implementing state-the-art detection, prevention, and response capabilities

• Reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate by driving the automation of applied threat intelligence and sensor enrichment 
• Develop and expand API framework to interconnect Security Tools

Basic Qualifications

-10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise solutions
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Design and architecture review
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
• Solid proficiency with Linux (or similar) operating systems
• Solid proficiency with Opensource security solutions   
• Expert knowledge of Restful web services (client – server application)
• Advanced Python scripting, Automation and DevOps skills etc.
• Software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration (Git), continuous deployment (Travis/Jenkins), and deployment orchestration (Ansible, puppet, or equivalent)
• Experience with C, C++, Java, Ruby, or Python, database application (MYSql/MS SQL) Skills.
• Experience with Web Technologies (Apache, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, SOAP, XML) 
• Develop a framework for maintain custom signatures using YARA across all security nodes 
• Exposure to security management, administrative account management etc., would be a plus
• Understanding of: distributed systems, cloud computing, database, machine learning, data mining, statistics, data modeling     
• Experience with object-oriented design concepts
• Understanding of unit test and integration testing frameworks.

• Incumbent must make themselves available onsite during core business hours

• This position may require up to 10% travel

Physical Requirements

• This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
