Job Description

What’s it all about?

This is a new role in the Business Development team. The Business Development Deal Lead will play a key role in helping to establish the Europe deal team, developing strong partnerships across the business with stakeholders who are key to delivering strong client value propositions, as well as creating new processes and best practices for managing RFP responses.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Leads / coordinates development of strong client propositions with AE & key stakeholders
  • Lead/ advise on the best / most suitable deal structure (balancing corporate requirements with competitive needs) working towards maximising longer term net revenue growth
  • Lead / coordinate hub support teams to ensure one coherent voice on proposal documents and presentations
  • Leads / coordinates pre-sales engagement – develops client-specific sales strategies, and engagement and investment plans
  • Works closely with AE & where required with client to understand their strategy/challenges/requirements, to ensure Visa is focused on the right areas
  • Share knowledge & insights as well as leveraging best practice from other deals / developments across all European markets
  • Enable & inspire the AE’s to focus on negotiating strategies, and deal structures that lead to longer term improvement in win ratio
  • Create regular updates to track/ manage deal team priorities and communicate to senior management

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in commercial negotiations & Business Development focus
  • Good experience at working in client-facing environment
  • Excellent understanding of deal mechanics
  • Highly experienced at collaborating and influencing across different functions
  • Commercially-focused & good understanding of client business
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Excellent presentation skills as well as written & verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and a keen eye for details
