Team Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible and impactful results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The Global Operations team within VCA is responsible for the infrastructure to help accelerate the growth of our client-facing consulting and analytics services. We work closely with our consulting and analytics colleagues worldwide as well as collaborate cross-functionally across the company with Product, Strategy, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.  Key focus areas for the global team include: leading efforts to promote VCA’s mission, designing and operationalizing initiatives and processes that can help the organization scale rapidly and effectively, increasing coordination across regional teams, tracking and metrics, reporting, and content management.

Job Description

The Analyst, VCA Global Operations will play a key role supporting: (1) global tracking and reporting processes; (2) cross-functional efforts to develop and improve business processes; (3) developing reports for an executive level audience; and (4) content management and SharePoint maintenance. This is a dynamic group and the role will be dynamic as well. The person in this role should be ready to take on new responsibilities as they come up.

This role would ideally be based in Foster City, but other US locations can be considered for the right candidate.

Essential Functions

  • Review and analyze information from incentive contracts and various Visa internal data sources (such as Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB) and Visa Playbook) to identify key details related to value-in-kind (“VIK”) commitments

  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders in other global regions to align on tracking and reporting standards

  • Generate key metrics, summary tables, charts etc. needed for executive-level reporting and assist with development of presentations for executive review

  • Assist with creating, modifying and maintaining templates and data files

  • Continually explore opportunities for improvement, both with the process and the output

  • Coordinating with team members across the globe to gather weekly updates on consulting projects, key client engagements, events, organizational updates etc. for scorecards, dashboards, pipeline performance, and other ad hoc reports

  • Assist with reviewing submissions for logical presentation, completeness, clear takeaways, and consolidate / compile the reports

  • Ad hoc support to maintain and expand use of a newly implemented project lifecycle tracking tool – business requirements, communications with IT, business project management, validation and testing, deployment support.

  • Maintain team’s SharePoint site including user access provisioning, redesign as needed, review / refresh of existing content, upload of new content

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated, analytical, detail-oriented individuals with the ability to quickly develop an understanding of the business and key drivers, and can work effectively across regions, functions and levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in business operations, finance and accounting, program management, consulting operations or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and attention to detail
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
  • Visio, Tableau, Python, and SharePoint experience desired
  • Ideal candidate will have some experience in payments, banking and/or consulting industry.
  • Ability to mine and analyze large sets of data and present actionable insights
  • Ability to read and interpret contract language
  • Organized and structured in thinking and approach to work.
  • Positive and solution-oriented – a problem solver who finds ways to overcome challenges
  • Able to handle a dynamic environment with new responsibilities, shifting priorities etc.
  • Takes full ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Can juggle multiple assignments, but with a keen sense of priorities and focus on the important things
  • Has initiative and is driven to go beyond the minimum requirements, not a “check-the-box” mentality

Additional Information

Work Hours:

  • Incumbent is expected to work during core business hours

Travel Required:

  • Incumbent will be expected to travel less than 5%

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
