Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible and impactful results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The North America (NA) Strategy & Operations team within VCA is responsible for the infrastructure to help accelerate the growth of our client-facing consulting and analytics services. We work closely with our consulting and analytics colleagues in the US and Canada and the Global VCA Operations team, as well as collaborate cross-functionally across the company with Finance, Product, Strategy, HR, Sales, etc.

Key focus areas for the NA team include: leading efforts to promote VCA’s mission, designing and operationalizing initiatives and processes that can help the organization scale rapidly and effectively, increasing coordination across the client facing teams, Global VCA and Finance, tracking and metrics, reporting, and content management.

Job Description

The Sr. Analyst, VCA NA Strategy & Operations will play a key role supporting: (1) NA financial tracking and reporting processes; (2) implementation of a project lifecycle management tool; (3) workforce related initiatives (for example, helping update workforce plan, org charts, tracking of progress against hiring plan) and (4) operationalizing other strategies to manage the business (for example, pricing, revenue recognition).

This is a dynamic group and the role will be dynamic as well. The person in this role should be ready to take on new responsibilities as they come up (for example, budget planning, multi-year forecasting and other strategy development and execution to help drive the business and build new processes to run the business).

This role is based in Foster City

Essential Functions

  • Monthly performance against goals process
    • Coordinate with NA VCA Leads to gather data for key performance metrics and review/validate for completeness and accuracy
    • Generate key performance metrics, summary tables, charts, etc. needed for monthly and ad hoc executive reviews and assist with development of presentations for executive review
    • Assist with creation, modification and maintenance of templates for data collection and reporting
    • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for client incentive tracking, P&L revenue recognition, expense management to ensure NA VCA is hitting quarterly targets
    • Continually explore opportunities for improvement, both with the process and the output
  •  Support Implementation of Project Lifecycle Tracking Tool
    • Support work stream to continue development of the new project lifecycle-tracking tool – business project management, validation and testing, deployment support
    • Become a super user of the tool to track monthly performance against goals and develop reporting and dashboards to help the NA VCA leads and S&O team to manage the business
  • Workforce Related Initiatives
    • Coordinate and communicate effectively with Talent Acquisitions, Finance, NA VCA to track hiring progress to ensure team is hitting quarterly hiring plans
    • Assist with creation, modification and maintenance of hiring reporting

Qualifications

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic team member to bring innovative ideas to our consulting practice:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of work experience or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) of relevant and progressive experience in business operations, program management, consulting operations or related field
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
  • Visio, Tableau and SharePoint experience desired
  • Ideal candidate will have some experience in payments, banking and/or consulting industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and attention to detail
  • Organized and structured in thinking and approach to work.
  • Plans ahead
  • Positive and solution-oriented – a problem solver who finds ways to overcome challenges
  • Able to handle a dynamic environment with new responsibilities, shifting priorities etc.
