The BI Solutions group within Data Products organization works with internal business teams to enable faster decision-making, data democratization and self-service through building innovative, scalable best-in-class dashboard and reporting solutions. Our goal is to empower and enable business partners to glean valuable insights from Visa's unique global data assets. Our BI developers are critical members of the team that supports Visa's global organization.

 We are looking for an Senior Analyst in Solutions Management, BI Solutions who is comfortable engaging with business owners, data geeks and technology teams alike and has strong experience in translating business needs into measurable outcomes. This senior analyst will be expected to be hands-on, focused on using data to drive business decisions and is passionate about building effective data pipelines and solutions to support Regional Scorecard and Country Manager Dashboards project. The senior analyst is expected to possess strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects and engagements to completion.

This position is based in either Foster City, CA (preferred location) or Arlington, VA.

Basic Qualifications

• 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications

• 6-8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4-6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) 
• 5+ years’ experience in data-based decision-making or quantitative analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as statistics, operations research, economics, computer science or many others (graduate degree is a plus)
• Solid Experience with extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using SQL, Python, Hive/Hadoop or other tools
• Competence in Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
• Experience in understanding and analyzing data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Stata or others)
• Experience in managing analytics/data science projects from scoping to delivery

Work Hours

 Regular business hours M-F. Flexible schedule can be worked out with hiring manager.

Travel Requirements

Occasional commute to other Visa offices in the bay area will be required. The position will require availability during core business hours. Traveling on business is not required for this position, although occasional travel for conferences and client engagements might be necessary.

Physical Requirements

• This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
