Job Description

Visa’s Financial Planning and Analysis team is going through an exciting period of new growth as we seek to expand our level of influence from financial planning to more strategic decision support. To achieve this objective, we have substantially grown our team in both headcount and skill set. We are seeking an Senior Financial Analyst to drive the decision support, analytics and reporting across the entire team. This position will play an instrumental role in redefining how we measure business performance, rebuilding and automating our reports and analyses, and preparing ad hoc analysis in response to questions from our business partners.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing financial planning and analysis broadly for Visa’s Corporate Functions as well as direct support for one or more of Visa’s business functions.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e. executives and staff) and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.
  • Acquires and maintains an understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the divisions supported.
  • Leads the coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses for areas supported. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development, pricing analysis, P&L generation and business planning support.
  • Provide support for areas supported, consolidation activities and executive management reporting deliverables
  • While financial analysis will clearly be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.

 

Joining the VISA Finance Team as a Senior Financial Analyst you will be considered for one of the following teams within Financial Planning:  Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Functions, Product, Visa Business Solutions, Merchant Solutions, Technology, Marketing, and many more.

*Placement will be based upon candidate’s technical abilities and interest and business need. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting
  • Bachelors Degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics or related quantitative field, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and strong skills in Powerpoint
  • Proven expertise in modeling techniques and managing large data sets
  • Be eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship now or anytime in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively cross-functionally and with all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are extremely critical
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and produce time sensitive deliverables
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities

Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
