Job Description

What’s it all about?

We’re looking for someone to join the UK Client Engagement team, becoming part of a team responsible for managing relationships with a small number of strategic issuing clients. Working hand-in-hand with the dedicated Client Leads, this role is focused on building deep partnerships with a diverse set of clients, identifying and leveraging commercial insights to accelerate our partnership growth and standardize how we go-to-market with these strategic clients.

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Ensure the retention of Visa’s existing business with assigned clients and proactively develop incremental business streams.
  • Meet targets for net revenue, profitable sales volume and other strategic objectives.
  • Lead the management and industrialisation of best practice account management, including business performance and reporting for client business review meetings.
  • Adopt the Challenger Sales methodology to identify commercial insights in order to drive new business and opportunities with assigned clients.
  • Support our clients with realising the value of Visa data through appropriate tools and services.
  • Analyse and assess market trends.
  • Work alongside clients, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building high quality relationships.
  • Identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the clients’ business objectives and priorities.
  • Engage with cross-functional colleagues ensuring teams such as product, marketing, client services and consulting are appropriately involved and supporting client development.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of client accounts, suggesting ways to develop existing business, improve performance and grow volume.
  • Support in market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market.
  • Support cross functional initiatives as required.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of all Visa Europe products and services.

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Strong knowledge and experience of the payments business and/or financial services is beneficial.
  • Be commercially focused and pragmatic with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions.
  • Highly numerate and passionate about data and insights.
  • Self-starter who is detail oriented.
  • A curious mind-set with a desire to understand the dynamics within the UK payments and banking landscape.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple work-streams simultaneously, meeting set deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills.
  • Be a self-motivated employee who can work alone and in a team.
