Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This candidate will join Global Information Security and will be responsible for Advanced Designs of the Cyber Security Engineering program. In this role, the candidate will develop high level designs, requirements, integration techniques and consult with various teams on the inline security platforms.

  • Consolidate, redefine, and envision a multi-year perimeter security road map incorporating design and run challenges for short, mid and long-term incorporating business needs.  Ensure input and feedback from other internal and external (non cyber) groups including business, data, technology, and services throughout the entire systems engineering and development life cycle.
  • Develop designs, proposals and solutions for the placement, integration and logical configuration or perimeter security systems to ensure uniformity, spend intelligence as well clarity of security posture.
  • Lead and Collaborate with global stakeholders including the Network, Cyber and Infrastructure groups and cyber security management and leadership to drive initiatives for the global cyber security department.
  • Re-envision the strategies for perimeter platforms including incorporation of new technologies, features and capabilities and articulate their benefit for an enhanced security posture, cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Tightly define, develop and hone processes and procedures to enhance and improve team’s management of responsibilities incorporating technologies and best practices to develop functional requirements and specifications
  • Define and develop the parameters and data from the perimeter platforms to represent the existing security posture and enhance visibility of the environment for superior monitoring and protection.
  • Maintain active understanding of industry practices for threat analytics, incident response, evolving attack vectors and cutting edge technologies for advanced security postures.
  • Oversee the needs, prioritization and review in Proof of Concept exercises for emerging technologies, technology replacement or enhancement and significant design modifications thereafter communicating results in various forums to stakeholders.
  • Produce and perform routine presentations, conduct workshops and allow for individual specific coaching and mentoring to employees to increase productivity.  The results will work to enhance skillset, provide visibility of this area and increased contribution and employee engagement at Visa.

  • Develop, contribute and edit perimeter cyber standards documents and publish technical reports, white papers and high level plans.

  • Provide the network modeling, analysis, and planning rigor, provide guidance on version test case signoff
  • Conducts cost/benefit analysis of architecture designs as well develop cost estimates and network designs specifications
  • Represent the areas as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in architecture working groups, present architecture solutions, methodologies, and frameworks, and coordinate/negotiate toward solutions

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

-10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity and related fields
  • MS degree in Cyber/Risk with certifications CISM, CISSP
  • In-depth knowledge of network and systems architecture, network architecture, server infrastructure and proficient with cyber security platforms and technologies
  • Operational knowledge of systems, network security, and engineering best practices.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest issues encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.
  • Experience applying cybersecurity best practices in cloud-based services both domestically and internationally
  • Well-versed and hands on with Checkpoint systems (61K, 23K, 21K, 15K, 3150 MLM/MDS, v77.30, vR80.10, Provider1), Palo Alto systems (7K, 5K, 3K, Panorama, M100/500, v7.X, v8.X), Arbor systems (APS 2100, NSM, v5.X), Bluecoat Proxy systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and present across all levels of the Company
  • Analytical thinker with strong organizational skills; attention to detail is a must

Additional Information

Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
