Job Description

Overview:
The Brand Reviews & Consulting team, part of the overall North America Marketing organization, is transforming how we partner with clients to drive engagement, through a proactive and consultative marketing approach and strategy.  The team enables client value through consultationon physical and digital card design, including trends and materials which inspire innovative and creative thinking. In addition, a main component of the job is to manage review of client programs, card designs, marketing materials, innovation initiatives, brand strategy, waivers and more on behalf of the North America region all while protecting the Visa brand in our most visible presence – on payment devices.

Position Summary
Brand reviews and consultation are key across all types of clients within the Visa ecosystem; from large key clients to regional and community financial institutions to Fintech partners. This role will work with a talented team of experienced marketers to drive acquisition and usage for our clients’ card portfolios through design consultation and approvals. This manager will work with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of management representing the North America brand point of view. Communication is critical to the success of this position.  

Core Responsibilities would include:

  • Review and consultation on physical and digital card designs with Visa approved vendors and issuers to ensure brand adherence to rules/regulations.
  • Consult with clients on current brand standards and propose thoughtful insights into design that will help with card acquisition and usage.
  • Manage physical card sample reviews & faux card production for assigned vendors.
  • Review and categorize affinity cobrand partnerships proposed by Visa issuers to ensure brand and reputational fit for Consumer credit/debit and all prepaid programs. Escalating to the global brand working group as needed.
  • Manage the North America Brand mailbox inquiries within established timeframes 
  • Manage quarterly reporting, annual vendor scorecards & ad hoc queries for the Brand Management Approval System.
  • Own process for waivers to the Visa Product Brand Standards for the North America region and serve as the lead and subject matter expert for Visa Rules waivers that have brand/marketing impact for North America.
  • Support the Director of the North America Brand Reviews team, so as to assume backup responsibilities during PTO/Travel coverage.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

·         4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Previous experience working in financial services – operations, product and/or sales experience preferred
  • Payments industry or card vendor experience a plus, but not required.

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds    This position may  require the incumbent to travel up to 10%.
