Job Description

The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the relationship between Visa and its clients in Egypt. This role focuses on business growth and client satisfaction. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying and execute, through analytics, data and market awareness, on opportunities to drive business growth for Visa and its clients.  The candidate will support the market to drive various market initiatives as well as drive client engagement activities.

The candidate will assists in the implementation of country strategy, objectives and plans in order to achieve business targets. This will be achieved by growing the existing business and through identifying new business opportunities including the introduction and implementation of new products and services.

Strategic Planning

  • Monitor the development of the banking and financial services industry in the market, analyze trends and understand factors impacting current and potential business results of Visa.
  • Ensure that the necessary Marketing plans are in place with sufficient lead time and have justification for the required spend.
  • Work closely with Country Manager to initiate, develop and manage opportunities to drive business growth for Visa and its clients. 
  • Support the production of the key business drivers (e.g. volumes, transactions, etc) for use in strategic planning, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Model building for new as well as renewal PFG's and taking it up at all levels including Finance, GCM and GIG approvals
  • Reviewing Legal contracting and follow up with BD’s, contract management team till final signoff by client
  • Champion Visa Playbook, Ensure Success and adoption for Sales Force with relevant call/client reports and Account Plans

Business Development

  • Assist with Identifying new business development opportunities and take accountability for securing them.
  • Ensure effective communication of progress to targets both within Visa and with Clients.
  • Develop product roadmap and sales plans to drive growth.
  • Upskill clients in a targeted manner through training sessions, webinars and workshops.
  • Attend to client queries and issues, and provide timely and efficient solutions
  • Contribute to development, production and implementation of market initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and contribute to develop/respond effectively
  • Support the obtaining of new licenses, opening of new BINs, card design and authorization / decline improvement initiatives
  • Manage daily tasks such as maintaining and updating clients contact lists, and upload required documents in CRM software tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Visa requirements of service levels, integrity of records and efficient resolution of complaints.
  • Identify key opportunities within the portfolio, and provide analysis and business case to address them.
  • Provide periodic client reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) as agreed with Country Manager.
  • Preparation of regular analysis reports for market and for clients, focusing on portfolio performance and market share, comparison with targets by quarters.

Decision Making & Complexity

  • Able to operate with limited guidance in complex environments.
  • Manage ongoing level of Client support and manage internal and external visits by Visa staff and alliance partners with key Client personnel.
  • The candidate will be required interact effectively with various levels of staff and management within Visa.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to address on-going needs of a complex, matrix organization.
  • Analysis of revenue, client and market trends to identify market opportunities.
  • High quality and timely internal reporting (both periodic and one-off)
  • High quality and timely submission of various inputs as and when requested by management
  • Lead specific projects for the market to demonstrate effectiveness and enhance current skills through exposure strategic country initiatives.
