What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise for all of Cybersecurity Engineering’s technologies and services
  • Devise solutions to most effectively address the wide variety of technical challenges and advanced threats Visa faces utilizing the technologies and resources available to Cybersecurity Engineering 
  • Represent Cybersecurity Engineering and act as its primary point of contact and ambassador to other Cybersecurity teams
  • Contribute to Cybersecurity Engineering’s roadmaps and direction based on the evolving needs of different business units and teams, and the threat landscape Visa faces
  • Contribute to and coordinate efforts between different Cybersecurity verticals and other business units to quickly and effectively respond to threats and stand up solutions
  • Continually learn and stay abreast of technology trends, industry direction, and the cyber threat landscape; effectively prioritize these to focus on what is important and separate out fads
  • Effectively manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration, and communications
  • Prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments
  • Respond to and assist with due diligence and internal / external security audit requests
  • Identify and drive opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to security standards, processes and/or automation

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering 
  • Mid-level hands-on technical expertise in one or more information security verticals such as penetration testing or application security, security infrastructure tuning and/or deployment, security architecture or design, or general security consulting 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of advanced attack techniques and mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrable knowledge of OWASP controls, ATT&CK frameworks
  • Knowledge of PCI/DSS and its technical controls
  • Experience with security of distributed database, distributed computing and high frequency transactions is a big plus
  • Experience delivering highly available security solutions
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience demonstrating self-motivation and accountability
  • Financial services and card payments experience is a plus
  • Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, ISC2 CISSP, SANS, CEH, etc. are a major plus
